bro, u change sparkplugs at proton or outside? if outside what brand u use? at proton so damn expensive.. 400 for sparkplugs...

I use the same brand. Cost me ard rm400 too.

i'm going for 30K service and planning to go to SC Glenmarie S.A. (the one you are recommending)..just to double check with you; what are really needed to change/replace for the 30K service..coz previous SC i went (near Seri Kembangan) looks like adding more from what stated in the Service Manual...they used the CVT Engine service check list..i asked for EB CVT CFE engine service list, but they don't really have it...my last service (20K) cost me around 600 MYR, since they said need to change CVT oil etc...

Kindly advise bro...

correct me if im wrong, but according to the exora service manual, you only change your cvt oil at the 60k mark. why was the cvt oil changed at 20k ? 20k gearbox oil change sounds more like they changing oil for a normal autobox ( those 4 speeder torque converters that they been using since wira time)

im a exora bold cfe owner. from the first batch.my car already 1 1/2 years, now pushing 38k mileage. i gave up on proton service centers. now i service at the mechanic downstairs from my office.

today, im replacing my gtradial tyres. the thread haus until the weave, and its losing air.

I think CVT GB oil is at 40k, spark plug is at 60k.

if follow SC, they will change brake fluid, radiator coolant, sparkplugs, cvt oil.. this unneccary things at 30k servis no need to do lah.. brake fluid??
i rather change to performance brake fluid rather than proton.. same price..
coolant? no need to change.. if want change, go to normal workshop.. more cheaper..
cvt oil? it should be change at 60k, dunno why change at 30k..

since its a new engine n gearbox, i rather constantly service at proton..
until 2years, baru i service at other workshop..using performance oil lubricant..
with the price of petronas 10/40 oil, i can get liqui molly, rock oil, Torco..hish..

there are 2 types of proton edar SC.. one is WAKIL Servis Edar..
another one is like glenmarie, COE, mutiara damansara, which is direct with proton edar service center..
avoid WAKIL servis.. they only chase for your money..

the Rm600 u paid, it should be done at 30 or 40k.. actualy u can choose when to change the coolant, brake fluid, cvt oil..u change spark plugs alraedy? it cost 400 MYR.. what the hell..i didnt change it yet.. my milage is 48k alreaady.. buy exora january 2012... so much trouble for the 1st batch.. haishh...

huhhuhuhu...i sudah kena getah dgn itu WAKIL servis edar...pity me will never go there anymore...thanks man for the advise..will think twice or more for the next service when they asked to change/replace here and there...
by the way, what type of engine oil u used? semi or fully synthetic? i start to use fully but the synthium version have no choice; only 15W 50 which i think is not so good right? Is it ok to revert back from fully to semi? any issue with the engine performance for long run?

i change from fully to semi yesterday for my 10k service

now using 10-40, they don have 10-30

1k servis the SA cheat me that only fully can last for 10k, wtf

i go for proton edar in penang, but will switch for wakil next round coz no more free labour

beter use semi.. if use fully, how long will u service your car? mybe 10k u can use for a year.. so u service your car once a year?.. hoho. service your car regularly.. so the car will not give trouble..n can detect trouble if service at every 5k..

if u use fully, but wait until 10k, with all the sick malaysia traffic, road.. sure need to service faster..

for me, its already ok with 10-40 oil.. i use petronas 10-40..plan to change to Torco or liqui molly for next service..car sudah almost 2 years..with that, i rajin sikit take care my car.. if not, too lazy to open engine hood.. haha

hi guys

going for my next service tomorrow. need some help if you have experience what might be the root cause of my issue so i can tell those service guys

1) Engine not stable during idling / reverse
- already try to fix twice (change OCV, upgrade software) but still the same

2) Back wiper have screeching noise
- already try to fix once (don't know what they do)

3) When go through some pothole, got the "eeekkk" sound
- did mention to them but i don't think they fix

4) petrol in the cabin if pump full. only will have smell when turn on air cond
- already try to fix once (don't know what they do)

btw, this is my 10k service

anything i should take note that they don't add a lot of unnecessary stuff in my service? going to seksyen 13 area. any idea roughly how much it should be?

during 1st visit the tech very good, help me to clean air cond
check the spare tyre pressure

2nd time very poor, not even help me to check those things

4.) u need to add silicon sealant inside the petrol cover.. i have done mine, n no more smells..
3.) abs module.. still no fix to this problem
2.) ini wiper sudah rosak..change wiper - setel..mine fixed
1.) try n go at Glenmarie shah alam. they can do it.. mine fixed.. after go to 2 SC, including HQ..no more jerking, engine not stable or whatsoever..

they will add X1r or other additive for your engine.. thats all, but u must pay for it..

the petrol cover is it the black cover we remove to pump petrol? if yes, which part to put the sealant? won't the sealant come off after long use?

for the engine jerking, any idea what they did?

for the jerking, same like other sc will do.. change Ocv, engine tune, reflash.. plus there is somthing that the SC at glenmarie done for the jerking.. but dunt remember.. can try n call them.. but if u have aircond problem, they cannot do it becoz they have no aircond expert..

how to change the back wiper? its fixed type.
if gonna buy whole set? how much is it?

i just service my EB 2 week ago at pusat bandar pasir gudang for 20k service...this is my 4th service and 1 year of EB ownership...damages about RM286...using
petronas syn 1000 15-50w. i see the labour charges rm 60+ hmm still ok la...i think you should complaint to i care and also persatuan pengguna and see can get
refund or can summon the SC.

for next service 30k....still long to go hahaha safe my money and enjoy my ride. before go to any service my advice...read the manual first and also see the procare packages in internet. We have our right to know as we pay the money for their service....
