Brought from glk83... good communications seller as he will guide and draw how your electronics plan will work for his isolator not like those "You look those product and choose lar", what you can expect more?

this is glk83 good mini item (0.5kg?) compared to my old isolator, big size and 1.5kg.

Hope it can protect much better than my old isolator as the old isolator failed to protect my sis computer and streamyx.

I think this product is quite reliable.. according to http://www.cal-lab.com/award.htm founded in 1994.

Hi glk83,

What is the difference between MDSC0039 and SC0039? Is it just extra long cable only? What is the meaning can add additional earth cable ?

This model NILI9920F(10A) comes with EMI Filter. What is the purpose and in what condition that we should use this model ?

Why most of the model comes with 10A fuse and not 13A ?

Thanks.

MDSC0039 have longer cable and it can used for number of equipments by using multiextension... therefore it have a small connector which allow u too do the grounding purpose... example like SP9201, it have ground cable and the cable will attach to MDSC0039 which free of hassle from unscrew the 3 pin power plug to attach on earth pin...

SC0039 only use for standalone equipment, which means only 1 to 1 only... it not recommended to use more than 1 equipment... but it without the small connector like MDSC0039...

EMI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_interference
if the equipments u using will produce the electromagnetic radiation and may effect the other equipment's functionality, this is the suitable model...

FYI, most of our product dont have included fuse... the 10A only indicate the total power tat the equipment can consume from it... in addition cal-lab not designed for 13A is bcos it had slower response time to detect the lightning surge, so it may damage ur sensitive equipment if it cant detect minor surge... tat why cal-lab design SL-AR (1.5A), SL-AR (3A) and SL-AR (5A)... let say u using fax machine which only 0.3A and u use SL-AR (5A) to protect, it wont suitable... if the minor surge cause the power line increase to 2A++ and ur fax machine is senstive, ur machine will get burnt too bcos SL-AR (5A) hardly to detect the surge... so for this case i will get 1.5A version instead 5A version

SF9512-MS1+3 : we call it as Digital Version, it recommended to use for fax machine, dial up connection and 512 streamyx...
SF9512DSL-MS1+3 : it able to support up to 2mb streamyx and ADSL2 as well
SF9512DSL-MS1+3 (customized) : it depend on customer's request, if u have special equipments which current versions not able to support, we will customize the SF9512 to suit with ur equipments to perform prefectly...

if have still any doubt, ur question will be welcomed... smile.gif

I have a question. I'd like to protect my modem along with my cordless phone, now using a chaplang brand. I'd used a Cal-lab (bought from Jusco) and if I recall correctly there was a instruction paper that came with it that states that the parts are replaceable if fused for a fee. Is it still the same now?

not means to offend u... i dont think jusco is selling cal-lab products, are u buy from the PC shops tat in jusco? bcos we cant sell cal-lab product in any supermarket or hypermarket without our recommendation to avoid confusion and buyers bought the wrong version or do wrong installation caused their equipments striked by ligthning as well...

are u means LLSWA ?

Thanks for the prompt reply..... But I used to buy my Cal-lab from Jusco MidValley at the electrical department (but they don't carry it anymore)

I think it is something like the LLSWA. I'll see if I can still have the instructions paper with me smile.gif

Well, if repair service is provided then I'm all in...... will get back to you later..... need to do a little head count tongue.gif

hmm... my IT pack ... i think it's partially spoilt due to struck by lightning..
the telephone line port... when connected to the IT pack.. my adsl modem shows no signal`.. then if without passing through the IT pack.. then it's working with signal..
as for the power plugs.. it's still working good though`...

ermm.. any suggestion for my case? the IT pack is obsolete from the cal-lab product line , right?

heheh`.. , yea.. my IT pack isn't bought from you..` tongue.gif

we selling IT pack... we wont phase out it bcos only several models support 10A equipments... and obviously it killed by lightning but for sure ur modem is still alive... smile.gif perhaps the telephone port still able to use for telekom phone, but not recommend to do it bcos it lost the protection function...

is ok that u not bought from me, i will do exchange replacement with u too if it is 100% from cal-lab... smile.gif
