just plug and play only, ALL cal-lab come with isolator...

it must use with SC or SL series to ensure the surge wont come from power surge...
hence the green wire of MDFC will connect to SC / SL series as the surge will lead into earth instead...

intending to use as stand alone isolator for satellite dish.

the rest i'm still using belkin. they have paid my claims time and time again

Added on May 20, 2011, 12:13 amso basically means that i need to earth the MDFC

yup... u can connect the MDFC earth wire to any TNB's grounding point (such as 3pin power socket's earth point)...
u can buy a vanila 3 pin power socket, connect it into earth pin and plug on to wall will do... smile.gif

Hi,
Wanna ask. I plan to get '2' units of Callab for my Home Theater system. As you know the HT system uses high power and so i do not want to tap the power from a single wall socket (TNB) using only 1 callab.

If I isolate the external sources using 2 units of callab; 1 callab for TV and antenna from wall socket A, and another callab from another wall socket B for the ampliflier. Both the amplifier and TV is connected through RCA cable.
Do i still get protection from lighting and surge? Is this still consider an island since i have 2 different cal lab?

I'm just giving examples here for my understanding of island concept, since i also have DVD, blueray player, mediaplayer, PS3, DVD player to connect. Just worried that my understanding is wrong and it get fried.

Thanks...

u still can use 2 different wall socket which connected with 2 unit of cal-lab for the same island

for u HT system, you can use NILIcuHIFI which customized for audio system and deliver cleaner power source to audio equipment... for ur TV and antenna (assumed no satelite dish or telephone nearby) u can use STV9511 instead... but is ur media player connected to any Lan cable/networking?

Hi yes my media player is connected to LAN. I', still trying to draw out how to wire it and how many units needed. I need to keep cost low also smile.gif
So the green cable protruding from the CLLI, i just connect to grounding inside the ground pin in wall socket?

Hi, 1 more question, for STV1511, what is the max watt loading i can use with it?

I plan to use a gang socket to connect my AV equipment to this. Can STV1511 take 1800Watts loading?

if ur media player required for lan cable, u need SLAN1236 on media player to avoid surge come from lan cable...
let me know your overall equipments setup and layout so i can draft a diagram for understanding...

STV9511 can support 1000w...
if need the higher load, u can get MDSC0039 pair with MDTV9922 or AV Pack...

about the NILI which customized for Audio System, it can support 1800w... smile.gif

thanks for the diagram.. thumbup.gif

i think i order SP9201DAF 1st, usually lightning hit the telekom phone line and my modem spoiled.

let say after installed SP9201DAF, lightning hit the telekom phone line, the SP9201DAF will protect the modem router and very low possibility will surge the CPU via LAN cable right? not talk about TNB...

what's your view or comment for Gold Series 8-Socket Surge Protector?

u can use SP9201DAF to protect tel line only...
but Cal-Lab wont responsible for any damages on your equipments as surge have the possibility come from TNB and LAN cable as LYN forumers' experiences their equipments damaged... beside tel line, so it proven that TNB and LAN will damage ur equipment even though your tel line protected by Cal-Lab...

about belkin performance, refer to this post...
