Thank you very much, gkl83, you are very knowledgeable in your products.

Why is it from CPU 2 to Router, I will need 2 x SLAN1236?

Anyway, from the diagram, I will need the following from you. Please confirm:
1 x SD-4C
1 x MDSC0039FC
1 x SP9210DAF
1 x MDSC0039
3 x SLAN1236 (3x or 2x?)

Also, one more question. If the CLLI gets struck by lightning, will I have to replace it? Or is there warranty? Or can it be fixed?

Thank you very much.

for 1 cable have 2 points (A&B), if u protected Point A but no protected Point B, the surge will go to Point B and damaged ur equipments... example your house front door locked, back door no locked, robbers can unlock back door easily and rob you... hence cal-lab dont have the capabilities to "attract" surge toward, it designed to "tank" and isolate surge...

if used X days (1day - 10years+), the replacement cost is RM15 or RM25 to get another working unit / repair dead unit for lifetime, so you doenst required to buy new unit again with full price even though out of warranty period for lifetime...

yes... u can use multi socket on cal-lab, but must ensure the multi socket are working fine and build with better material quality... otherwise cal-lab may no able to do its job nicely...

u can use MDSC0039 5amp, support up to 1000w and should sufficient for your light equipments... hence please ensure all the protected equipments must located side by side / near to Cal-Lab unit... excessive cable extension to another points are no recommended as the surge may come from other points, hence the longer cable higher exposure towards surge...

i can COD at bandar utama / SS2 / Kelana Jaya / Kepong... smile.gif

SF9812DSL have the tel replacement module (SKPXDSL) but SF9512DSL dont have such features...
usually surge come form tel module, you will save some bucks if tel module using SKXPDSL as the replacement cost RM10 only... but if replace SF9512DSL will cost u RM25...

but is your PC connected to any wired modem (streamyx)? your tel cable connected to telephone only? you use ur blackberry phone to connect to internet with your PC?

Yup, currently my PC is hooked to a D-Link DSL Modem (of course the telephone is there also), so it might be feasible to have a module which comes together with the Plug point-DSL-Telephone module (if it comes with a built-in splitter then it's a welcomed bonus biggrin.gif)

So which model do you recommend?

Thanks again! smile.gif

since the telephone and DSL modem located side by side, u can use SP9201DAF to replace ur existing ADSL Splitter Filter...
later pair with MDSC0039 for power protection... smile.gif

I see... Thanks for the reommendation! But I did notice from the catalogue that SP9201DAF requires us to install the seperate earthing. So can it be wired together with the MDSC0039? smile.gif

Oh yeah, and I think you may send me a quote for the SP9201DAF & the MDSC0039 biggrin.gif

the SP9201DAF earthing will connected to MDSC0039...
but it use for 1 set of PC, 1 modem and 1 telephone...
the cal-lab setup i proposed no recommended PC to PC networking (connected few PCs on the same router/networking) via wired lan cable...

boss,

any warranty claim for the equipments unit that connected to Cal-Lab unit demaged when lightning striked?

no warranty of equipments...
if the installation done correctly and used correct models, cal-lab 99.9% effective enough to against lightning...

hence equipments damaged can be many reasons such as equipment wear and tear, improper equipments usage & handling, unstability electric source, used cheap electric components, etc... that the reasons doesn't cover for such incidents increased the probability of damages of equipments which wasn't caused by lightning...

even though other brand lightning protector covered for compensation for your loss of damaged equipments, it is quite hassle to go thru whole process to get the compensation fees... anyway, if lightning damaged ur HDD which contained valuable data with your great efforts, still no point getting compensation fees... Hence if the lightning protector are efficient enough, there have no necessary to convince customers to purchase their units due to the compesation... another question, how they able to pay compensation fees? actually you are the one "paying" to yourself as they marked up the selling price which included the cost of compensation fees and transfer it to their customers... Hence ethical issues concerned, customer can buy the lightning protector after their equipment damaged and claim it failed to protect me equipments... that the reasons why Cal-Lab no providing compensation fees if compare to other brand...

Also, Cal-Lab are no widely sold in market as customer will misuse Cal-Lab products for wrong equipments and wrong installation, later they claim Cal-Lab are useless due to their mistaken, that the reasons consultation before sales is very important for customer to allow them understand about the installation and T&C... out there have some Cal-Lab dealers no providing such consultation, misleaded customers and caused the unnecessary hassle to Cal-Lab...

anyway, i sold Cal-Lab products for 5 years and sold to 300+ LYN forumer... if LYN forumer complain Cal-Lab is useless junks even though follow my instructions and guidelines exactly, no points i retain my sales thread for years... furthermore, other lightning protector not allowed to use same technology (so-called copy paste the design) which are patented for Cal-Lab...

just plug and play only, ALL cal-lab come with isolator...

it must use with SC or SL series to ensure the surge wont come from power surge...
hence the green wire of MDFC will connect to SC / SL series as the surge will lead into earth instead...
