may I know what lens are u using? tq
A series of Minolta lenses. I've the adapter for both the Minolta MD mount and the Minolta/Sony Alpha AF mount. I'll take a few pictures of the setup and put it up later. I'll probably just keep the MD mount and MD lenses because I initially bought the Alpha adapter thinking that I could use the some Alpha mount lenses with the Nex too. But now I've only one Alpha mount lens and no Nex camera.
Few things I've noticed,
The AE-L button focus assist doesn't work with non Fuji XF lenses. So basically, the AE-L button is useless for me. Wish I could reprogram it.
The command dial button give me 10x magnification. Looks like I'm on the old firmware, so I've to update and see what the 3x magnification does.
Manual focusing with the LCD is extremely easy with my 45mm lens at f/2. At f/5-16 somehow it's hard to see if the picture is in focus, maybe because of the larger DOF so relative sharpness is more flat.
Manual focusing with the EVF is a little harder without the focus magnification. With the focus mag it's fine.
I still have the awesome Fuji colors. Although I feel that Astia in the x e1 seems like the Velvia in the x10 and x100. My x e1 velvia looks more like the real Fuji Velvia film.
Saving time for jpeg is much faster compared to x10 and of course x100
The xe1 is actually very light. Lighter than the nex 5 all metal body. However when the lens is added, it's heavy.
Saving time for RAW seems to be limited by the card write speed. I'm now using a Sandisk Ultra 16GB. So looks like there is a point to upgrade to an Extreme.
Metering works well for my lens. And brightness of the LCD adjust accordingly when I change the aperture.
I can't brain the performance on high ISO. With sharpening at +1 and ISO 12800 there is no chroma noise and no little luma noise that I can only see it at 100% zoom. That's 4 stops above ISO 800!
I'll post pictures in the coming days. I've already desecrated this club enough with all my words.
ps: the x series doesn't seem very popular with female consumers...
