and if you want to go ninja, the LCD screen should serve you well as holding your camera to your eye and pointing at your subject would definitely grab some attention unless the subject is unaware. laugh.gif

bro s7ran9er, thanks for summoning me here. notworthy.gif

would you like to take charge of having the honour to do V2? brows.gif

I have got no time to maintain such a fast-growing thread, and would be great if a fellow Fujifilm X-Series hardcore enthusiast like yourself could help out. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif flex.gif thumbup.gif

do let me know after you make the new thread, and i will lock this thread. cheers!

i dont really understand u said u prefer FF camera vf...the 6D u using is an OVF right?
but why on later comment u said u not a fan of OVF on x100....so u prefer EVF right?

i think both OVF and EVF has its strengths....on X100s i prefer EVF because I just love the correct viewing angle compare to the parallax error on OVF....

but on the other hand, while using rangefinder like leica I can live with the OVF with parallax error....maybe the shooting exp is different.....

anyway, fuji EVF really not that bad...it is not that bad which will affect the shooting exp....

I was implying that I liked the FF OVF simply because its bigger (don't have to squint my eyes)

x100 was ok size, but the parrallax correction and the AF in OVF mode wasn't cool.

hi guys smile.gif, just a question.. I'm planning to sell my DSLR to get a smaller camera. I've been eyeing the X series since X100 got released tongue.gif, even got my mum the X10 for her birthday.

the X100s and the X-Pro 1 both have OVFs and EVFs right? for the OVF, do you see, in the viewfinder, exactly how your shots will turn out on camera? or is there like a "parallax error" like on the X10?

for the EVF it turns out exactly as how you see it right?

x100/x100s OVF sure got parallax error like the X10/X20 (both the frameline n focus point)...

but the OVF have features to counter that..
1) when focusing, a parallax corrected frameline will appear to show what will be included in the shot...
2) got the Corrected AF Frame feature to account for parallax error for the AF point too

EVF is WYSIWYG smile.gif

Looks like V1 has come to an end so quickly.
Quite obvious the Fuji X-Series family is growing bigger and bigger everyday. brows.gif

I will now pass the baton to bro s7ran9er for his great help in becoming new honorary TS for V2! thumbup.gif

Link for V2 here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3055017&hl=

V1 thread is now officially locked.

Thanks for all the support! notworthy.gif
