i managed to walk around today. The cheapest X100S - cash price is at RM3390 IoI mall (Only one camera shop at ground floor. Forgot the name). RM3550 at color shop mid valley by card or cash

Hmmm, seems like RM3390 is the lowest price I have seen by far.

Whiteminic, does this price include anything else?

Anyone here found anything lower than this?

Where to get RM3390? Credit card or cash?

Haha, yeah, I guess I am gonna start hunting for an X100. Any idea what the market price is right now for a brand new one? Has it or has it not dropped with the release of the X100S? I do see a lot of people scrambling to get rid of their X100 but still wanting ridiculous prices for them.

I just ordered an X-E1 online. It's now on the way here! Come to papa! Can't wait!

Cheapest I can get from KL is RM3790 cash price. With ebay, I can pay in credit card terus, no need for extra 2% credit card charge! I also bought the faux leather casing for only RM60 from ebay. In KL they charge me RM98 for it!

when u first ask the price from salesman, they will throw u a price based on their first sight at you (if u are a leng lui, you can get an even lower price  )

then from there u keep on ask, got any freebies, cash price how much to show that you very interested... then here comes the most important part..

if you really plan to get from them and their starting price is good enough, pull a calculator from them to you and start pressing... round up a figure and tell them u straight take if price is agreed...

in my case, i bring my gf and i hide behind... wait my gf ask for the starting price, then i slowly come in and my gf fade out 

i'm able to get my xe1 + 35/1.4 + Fuji original w126 for a total of RM4100... (talk until my mouth also thirst and dry  )

please remember i do take in an extra original battery which RRP at RM328...

They say that the spatial resolution of the current x trans and fuji glass is the same as full frame yo. You don't need the better sensor. I just bout My xe1 for 600 USD without lens. Now I'm looking for vintage lens.

I have used X100, Xpro1, OMD, and XE-1 before, and I can said the new X100s is much much improved in autofocus. It is still not as fast as OMD, but it is faster than X100, Xpro1 and XE-1 with no hunting on focusing. Photo output is pretty much the same with Xpro1 and XE-1. If you can live with the fixed lens, then I recommend X100s for your only one camera for what ever photography style. it is also worth to upgrade from X100, or downgrade from Xpro-1 and XE-1. The ISO performance is superb, I tested at ISO 12,500 and the photo is still usable. Also a good camera to back up your bulky DSLR. Bottom line, get the X100s is money is not an issue.

Is autofocus speed really that important. People said that Olympus and Sony had better auto focus. Well I have the Olympus PL3 and the Sony Nex 5 with me now, doens't seem any faster or more accurate to me. People complained that the manual focus on the x100 was too retarded. I used it just fine and if it's retarded, then it's just as retarded on the PL3 and Nex. But use wired focus and I feel I need to do as many turns with the Nex as the x100.

In fact I've growned disillusioned with autofocus. Due to budget constraints, I'm just going to use manual focus lenses with my new xe1. Extra case is maybe going to a flash remote for my cheapo broken yongnuo 560II that I got off ebay.

And I can tell you, the button layout, design and menu layout is perfect in the x series for actually shooting in the real word. Nex lack of dedicated buttons and one button controls 3-4 functions is so ridiculous that I've packed it up again for sale. Just imagine, their all the buttons in the 4 way dial has two functions, the scroll wheel controls what is highlighted in the menu, the center button brings up 3 custom functions that can be switched left and right and then further fine tuned up and down. With the exception of Nex 6, there is no PASM wheel, and holy shit, there are 3 different info displays displaying three sets of information which you can scroll through. So autofocus speed.....hmm I don't think it's going to even feel any different on the x100s compared to previous models.

Electrical tape definitely worse.... sticky and horrible.

I am fully with @themanwithnoname, although we love our X's, at the end it should still be about the shots we make....

When the X100 was first released, there were a lot of comments about flare etc.... I think it looks nice! Adds a cinematic feel to it....

For those who have been asking why I want 5DM2 the FF beast,
Main reason because now it's the time i find it right to get FF already not because I am a pro photographer or work in photography. In fact i'm just a hobbyist. Reason for so its because of fashion photography. Some of you might answer why FF? Crop can't do it?
This may sound like a gear fag, I don't want to pair my 35mm f/1.4 with crop sensor. I don't get to make good use of the bokeh.

Another reason would be FF , for landscape! HEHE, Wanted to do landscape very long ago, my bro from another mom who is close to me owns a 17-40L , so normally I would use his lens to go for landscape but using 17mm on my 7D dont get the landscape crap de. It feels so tight, maybe now with the FF and those 8stop filters he owns I might get a chance to do landscapping as well.

But drawback of using this 5DM2 would be the price I need to sacrifice , 7D + X100, just for one.
and also I have to agree on my 2cents, dslr is terrible in street, they are heavy, they are big, and they are not ideal to carry around travels.

But in my X100 timeline, it was just a lucky camera I got . Back 3 months time I didn't expect I would get X100, I have always been in love with Leica. Bought this in store for RM1900 with unfilled warranty and condition 9/10 , I quickly grabbed it since it's so cheap. When outside is still selling 2.5k

But i'm gonna miss the X100 now. Currently it's reserved for a buyer already..

Adding to neo_lam's post, has anyone been to the Fuji retail outlet at Menara Axis? I would assume they would be selling the cheapest, since the middleman (camera shops) would be cut out. I'm looking for the best price also, either the X100 or X100S (argh, still friggin' torn between them).

it's amazing how her 350D picture was so commercialized already. now with her 5dm3 she brings it to a new level. If you watch CREATIVELIVE by Lara Jade when you get it at  *lanunnnnn!

Her editing works like very simple only yet her photos are so powerful. I dont get how they edit until that level when they do minimum only. not until very max.. :/
