Fellow forumers,
Since it’s a new thread and to heat up the thread, would be great for peeps to introduce yourself, your background in photography, your photography preferences, your gear and maybe some of your works. This would allow newbie like me to get to know all the sifu here. QUOTE Firstly, I coin myself as an amateur photographer, I started around 2 years ago with Nikon system, inherited my dad’s Nikon FM with 2 lenses, then bought my 1st DSLR D5100, along my learning journey, I have owned and used AFS 50mm f1.8g, 17-55 f2.8, AFS 16-35 F4, 105 F2.8 and SB700. So now, here I am, mingled with many of you in this New Fuji thread, owing only a Fuji X100 (with hope, X100s by end of this month too)Like many of you, I hate the weight of my gear. With luck, I get to learn about street photography and bought a Fuji X100. I then attended a street photography workshop and finally decided to focus on documentary and street photography, and sold off all my Nikon system (keep only the FM and its lense) I hope many of you who are just like me - enjoy using Fuji’s camera can share with us your tips, tricks and your beautiful work. QUOTE(CreamMilk @ Mar 6 2013, 11:52 AM) Hi all x100/x100s users, wondering is it still worth to get a new x100 right now? checking with YL, the difference between two of it are RM1000.... quite a big amount as I am on budget constraint. Worth. But imo, if can, try X100s 1st and see the difference worth the 1k discountI do not mind the low light slow AF on x100, just wondering is it ok to use eye-fi card? |

Personally i believe X100 is a great camera to keep, or work as a backup camera. Dont see much reason why ppl selling their X100, ya true, can get back some money, but in reality, you cant get back much anyway (unless you really need the money)
If 2.5k is for new X100, second hand maybe around 1.9-2k? No reason at all to sell lower than that. This could be a collector items many years later. For those selling their X100, please dont let ppl lowball you :-) |

QUOTE(xkah @ Mar 14 2013, 08:43 PM) QUOTE PS – Already, for me, the X100s is MUCH more enjoyable to use than either of the X bodies just due to the fact that the AF is now up to par with cameras like the OM-D and other speedy AF cameras. So just for that I thank Fuji but I knew this had to be coming. I think the X100s will be a huge hit for them just as the X100 was, even with all of its quirks. It does have the Lightroom X-Trans sensor issue though and I may have preferred the old sensor but I wil not make any statements just yet. QUOTE(anakrantau @ Mar 16 2013, 01:35 PM) huhu, better separate these two camera into two different topic coz the little bro will continue being overshadowed by the big bros(x100/XE1/X-Pro1 user).. Personally i like x10 alot. With the induction X20, it gets even better especially the overlay which is one of the major feedback for X10, new sensor and processor.Anyway I am still proud owner of x10 although I just bought them two weeks ago. Here is the latest picture taken @ ICT this morning while my car being serviced at perodua center nearby. Love x10 because it has a fast standard zoom range suitable for landscape to portrait ;-) If budget allowed, once i get X100s i will get X20 as a backup. X20 give flexibility to shoot at variable focal length, although with a smaller sensor, it is still a good enough camera for many situation. Imagine X100, X100s and X20 silver all stand together - what a cool collection. This post has been edited by hidden830726: Mar 16 2013, 02:13 PM |
