Anyhow, my fren whose studying mechatronic told me that mechatronic just started in UK. Before this, mechatronic is only availabe in malaysia campus. Thus, there might be mobility for mechatronic soon i suppose. If your badge is the same as the UK or one year earlier.

erm, if you really wish for mobility ( paying malaysia fee), then go for ene or mechanical. Im EnE student currently, we can go for mobility in our 2nd year but not final year.
however, there are another transfer program which allow you to completely transfer to UK as UK student, paying UK fee of cuz. This program enable you to graduate there. You can even go for your final year.
Thus, this will help you save alot as you dont need to study your 1st ,2nd or 3rd year in UK but still able to do your 4th year in UK ( for MEng).
Atleast you able to experience study life in UK.

Just a question, I've already accepted the offer, but in the letter they have posted to me, I only have info on how to pay the tuition fees and accommodation brochures, and also the dateline to submit the LAN results.

I have no absolute ideas on how registration or even the when the course will be starting. Do I have to go back to university to find out? or wait until they put up the news on the website for registration and etc?

Just wait.. They will have the information for registration and enrollment publish on their web site...

If i were to take Meng, i will definitely go to uk for my final year ^^ .
However, i dunno whether i want to take BEng then go for master in business ... ( mixture )! Also, with Beng, i able to go out to work 1 year earlier and gain 1 year working experience than MEng.

There will be difference in salary between MEng and BEng. However it will be like Rm 300- 400. Meng will allow yuou to have higher starting salary and the rest depend on your performance during work. Because of this... im thinking of taking BEng because i believ that experience is the one that counts at the end .. >.< but then ... qualification is also essential .. Hmm... also with MEng i able to register with BEM...
God ... this is hard .. I need some one to enlighten me >.<


For your information, we will be starting course on 22nd September 2008. Registration will start 1 week before this. However, different schools haave different date of registration~.

For the LAN form, you can submit once the course started~. Just take it easy but remember to submit it ^^. you wouldnt want to take your LAN in your 3rd year =/... better to take in 1st or 2nd. Good luck

Yup. My results are coming out in 2 weeks time. =D

And oh yeah, my brother is taking Mechanical Engineering in University King's College. He took BEng at first but he switched to MEng during his 2nd year. When i ask him why he said he don't want to go back to study after he started working. So he thought MEng is better. Don't know if this helps but yeah.

yes, i also dont want to work then study again. However you still can study for MSc or master in business field after your BEng. Thus, it depends on ... whether you want MEng or MSc .. Note that MEng is categorized as undergraduate master while MSc is postgraduate master.

Hmmm +_+ .. Meng allow you to automatically be recognised by BEM or other engineering board. However , for MSc, it is not that easy compared to MEng, maybe require to take additional modules. However, in my opinion... these registration with engineering board is useless unless you work in electrical field ( high current/voltage stuffs) or government assignments. But, it is also an achievement to some who opt for status in the society because you stand a chance to apply for IR ^^ Charted Engineer. =/... But again, i dont think its necessary ...I still need more inputs to help me decide this .. =/.. any helps would be appreciated.

my a level result will be released around 11 august,but i have apply for nottingham ad.im here to ask will it be hard for me to find a room after that period.coz i will only decide whether i go for nottingham after my result out.thx

i think it'll be quite easy for freshies to gain a room in hostel. But in case if u fail to secure a room, there're always plenty of rooms for rent in TTS.

Freshies only... after a while you'll know that Pioneer rips the hell out of your money and everyone will run away.

But, the rental is still lower than in Singapore! My friend told me the rental for a single room, cost rm 700+!

Btw, the so call year book for 2007/08.... You guys in the photo? Which one is you?

Laughing Tomato, nope. I have received an unconditional offer. And yea, the rent is much cheaper than other places. In Sunway's hostel, it costs around RM600 to have a shared room. With RM600, you can have your own room and bathroom(as I read from the brochures) in Nottingham. Though, it costs only RM300 to have your own room and bathroom if you go UTAR, Kampar. xD



Experience, mind to elaborate further on what the Pioneer does that rips our money? So we know what to watch out?
Because I have applied for on-campus hostel =P Mainly because it will be my firs year there and the area will be very very very new to me. So I think staying on campus will be safer at the moment.
