Hi, I am new here.

Just a question.

I am interested in applying for this university. Do anyone has idea where to get its application form, the hardcopies, anywhere near PJ area, Bandar Utama? I don't want to go all the way there because it takes 1 hours drive to reach the destination.

Is it reliable to send my application online?Do I fill in the forms and scan them, or do I use the computer to write, that
s it. And even if I am only applying for Malaysia's Nottingham, is it necessay to fill in the reference part as well?

Thank you.

Hey thanks for replying.

I want to apply for undergraduate programmes. It's just that I am living faraway from college that's why it's hassle just to go back there to get the lecturers to write something.

Experience mentioned that it is not needed??

Does Nottingham undergraduate studies accept any other pre-Us other than their foundations and A-lvls?

Have anyone encountered students who are from different pre-Us, not from A-lvls and their foundation?

Hi, I just want to know about the safety around the campuses. I have heard quite a lot of rapes cases that happened there. Can anyone please clarify?

Anyway, you have a cool blog over there. You planning to take IT?

Thanks FCUK89. But I am not planning to take IT unfortunately. I have just submitted my application form. Hopefully I wil be accepted. Though I don't know whether or not I will take up the offer because of the rumors I heard from friends, regarding rape cases. So I am a little scared.

Oh btw, why do you say that Bandar Sunway Semenyih is safer?

I went to your blog, and ur top panel is not working

I have actually heard complaints about that. You're the second one. But so far my friends, siblings and I have no problems... so i really don't know why..=.=

QUOTE
Wow, that's quite scary.
I guess BSS is not that safe as I though it is.
QUOTE
Bandar Sunway Semenyih (BSS) is definitely IMO the safest.  The security guards are on call 24/7, and you can count on them definitely. And, there's definitely lots of students staying at BSS. Trust me, BSS is definitely safer than tts 2, 3, 4 and 5 put together.

So which area is the safest of all? =.=Anyway, how about the safety of the towns? Robberies or break-ins?

If you meet their requirements, you will definitely get the offer.... So no worries about it.
As far as I am concerned I have met their requirements. Haha. Just that I am not from A-lvls nor SAM so i might not have the priorities. tongue.gif
Anyway, are they going to call or send in letters for the offer for undergraduate studies(If i am being accepted). Because I might be working so I won't be able to pick up calls. blink.gif
Oh btw, are guys outnumbered girls in Nottingham or the otherwise?

Thank you.

Oh btw, from what I read from this forum, the internet connection there seems bad. If I want to subscribe my own broadband? Does anyone have any recommendations? Celcom? Digi? Maxis? Izzi?

Thank you.

Thanks for the information.
How about the clubs and societies there?
Well there isn't much entertainment there I supposed unless you keep driving to the nearby big towns like Kajang or Cheras...
Haha, so you've gotta find your own entertainment around the campus...xD

Just a question, I've already accepted the offer, but in the letter they have posted to me, I only have info on how to pay the tuition fees and accommodation brochures, and also the dateline to submit the LAN results.

I have no absolute ideas on how registration or even the when the course will be starting. Do I have to go back to university to find out? or wait until they put up the news on the website for registration and etc?

hey ychien, are yours a conditional offer or an unconditional offer?

Jaden, I've got an unconditional offer. And i've already accepted it. =)

QUOTE
For your information, we will be starting course on 22nd September 2008. Registration will start 1 week before this. However, different schools haave different date of registration~.
Thank you Jasperng for your information. 22nd of September huh? That is like the end of the september! =/

QUOTE
Yours is conditional offer?///ut, the rental is still lower than in Singapore! My friend told me the rental for a single room, cost rm 700+!

Laughing Tomato, nope. I have received an unconditional offer. And yea, the rent is much cheaper than other places. In Sunway's hostel, it costs around RM600 to have a shared room. With RM600, you can have your own room and bathroom(as I read from the brochures) in Nottingham. Though, it costs only RM300 to have your own room and bathroom if you go UTAR, Kampar. xD

QUOTE
Freshies only... after a while you'll know that Pioneer rips the hell out of your money and everyone will run away.

Experience, mind to elaborate further on what the Pioneer does that rips our money? So we know what to watch out?
Because I have applied for on-campus hostel =P Mainly because it will be my firs year there and the area will be very very very new to me. So I think staying on campus will be safer at the moment.

1. On Campus : Tmnet hotspot (main buildings/streamyx subscriber), uni's free wireless(restrict gaming & P2P), and the paid 1 is u r staying at campus (wireless)
Off campus : streamyx at most of the ares, Maxis Broadband if u r staying at TTS 5

You mean even if you're staying on-campus hostel, the internet fee is separated?
If so, how do they charge? Price?
