Any of you guys know where can I re-download the original battery widget by nokia? I accidentally deleted it & now I can't seem to find it anywhere in the app store. Thanks in advance!

Apart from that, right after I pull out my charger from my phone, the estimated time remaining for my phone is only 9 hours. is that normal?
*
it is based on previous usages but the estimation is never accurate. Sometime I can get more than 3 days.

I don't think Nokia got battery app, you try to browse under Nokia collection. For download history, you may login to windowsphone.com and go to apps > purchase history

yeah, it depends on your recent activities, if for the past hour you have been surfing the web non stop, it will estimate how long the battery will last if you continue surfing the web nonstop (around 6 hrs). If you've been just laying the phone around, it will estimate how long the battery will last just laying around.. (may last for days)..

not sure really true or u are lucky,
all over the internet, ppl are complaining about whatsapp batt drain.
hmm.gif

i also tested it myself, with and without whatsapp really give big difference.

because whatsapp is a push notification app so hence the battery drain. If you want to improve battery life all mails use manual sync rather than push or specify time. Set brightness lower.

the 9 hours is an estimation based of what your phone is doing at that moment

Example if you play game non stop for 2 hours the estimation wont be 9 hours anymore could be 2 to 3 hours only.

FOR all OS are the same sometimes its not whatsapp could be other apps could be line, viber, wechat some 3rd party app. The best to test is hard reset then use a few days see the characteristic then only Install. go If battery drain occur you an actually track it

if you start car engine and let it idling, will the fuel run off over a period of time?

If the car system manage well the drop rate will be minor. At the moment wp8 haven't reach a standard to manage battery life well

For me, when i dont use data i always switch it off, and most stuff are manual sync including mail. If i dont use data, i can use 2 days before it reaches 20%. If occasional data usage, can last a day. I listen to music a lot, at least 3-4 hrs a day with a full size headset.

I dont use whatsapp at all so far. I installed it but didnt configure anything (Dont have an account yet). I also noticed taking lots of photos (like, 100 of them) battery also drain damn fast.

Was Asphalting for quite a while, like over an hour or longer just now and my battery plummeted 50% LOL. Surprisingly the phone is only a bit warm, not very hot.

After taking out from the charger at 1030 this morning, my phone has got 42% right now with light to moderate usage, took couple of photos and whatsapp here and there. I guess it's weird and like I said, I just dont get how battery can drop despite of being in idle. I guess what aspire2006 is right, WP8 cant really manage battery well in idle.

1 more question,

I remember someone posted a link where you can actually search for a replacement app for WP8 which you have had used in Android/iOS before. Can anyone share that link to me please?

Thanks

I suggest to disable photo auto upload feature as you can always backup the photo later on.

Not that I know of. I think that is hard-coded in the OS.
