Yep & also the washed out issue, it was not competitive with any flagship panel by others manufacture.

S4 immediate out once it appear at today morning unboxing. I am pretty disappointed on it. Xperia Z I still pretty like it, the design was so tempting.

Nonetheless it's a well known fact that AMOLEDs have this screen burnout problem. No need to contest that fact just because it doesn't happen to your 2 years old gs2. and these problems even occur less than 1 year of usage, no need to talk about 5 years.

I also prefer LCD but not that type of LCD use by Sony.

I need high quality LCD like IPS, SPVA or SLCD3.

Ya I agree. Not to forget Nokia clear back display IPS.

for me... i like AMOLED coz i now realise what people mean by black being really black.

when i was using the padfone2... i looked at the black... not as nice as the black on the amoled screen.

as for the other colours... i like my red to be red. orange to be orange... <--- lolz... ya, this is kinda stupid statement. what i mean is... i like it bright. biggrin.gif
*
Yeah the "real" black is awesome. thumbup.gif
I once loved AMOLED when the first time I saw it. The photo looks so nice on AMOLED. But then after I transfer my photo from phone to PC, I realized the photo is actually not as saturated as it looks. doh.gif So now I prefer to get a realistic display.

Different people different perspective haha

Amoled has organic compounds, which will degrade over time, causes screen burn sweat.gif

Ya, Nokia Clear Black was gorgeous also, just AMOLED cannot, more use more cannot accept it over saturate color. Probably was Samsung issue, the tuning person was saturate lover guy.

My tab 7.7 had screen burnt in problem after 2 weeks! Yes, you didn't read it wrong only 2 weeks. You can see the faint taskbar on one corner (cos I used it a lot for browsing).

nice specs and features although a bit disappointed with the design. not that it's ugly, but expected something more different

still gonna stick with s3 for this year

hope half of the software features featured can be ported over to S3, via next OTA hopefully

I don't think I got a lemon because I checked it carefully after purchase knowing this issue (because I was leaving for UK. Was back here for a short CNY break late Jan early Feb). That time official SME set still not available. So I bought AP set (6 months local shop warranty). Who knows, after two weeks in UK, I spot the issue after checking again one night. So I rooted it and install honeybar lo. Couldn't claim warranty. Felt a bit tulan back then.

All the above phones are using Amoled display and i have NONE screen burn issue. No joking here ohmy.gif

Or your can try ask Uncle Benny as i believe he also uses the above phones and see what his answer.
