Something is very weird here. hmm.gif

The official photo from Samsung doesn't show the earpiece speaker grill, but the so-call "leaked" photos from china forum does show the speaker grill.
I personally believe that the leaked photos are real, well, the unpacked event is so close already and the leaked photos does make sense, not like cheap china copy.

Btw, we got a new leaked video here.

thats really ugly bro.. i doubt korean who can make classy cars like sonata will design a giraffe phone.. so similar to iphone20 joke where it so long can become light saber
*
I wouldn't say it's ugly. Still acceptable la but I don't see any innovation here, in terms of design. sweat.gif
Meanwhile HTC and Sony is doing great design with their new phones.

It is so weird that nobody says the leaked s4 was the s3,it looks completely like the s3.
*
Many people actually did, read back a few threads in the previous pages.

Also that's why I said there is no innovation in the design, because it is from S3. lol

Might be a fake. Dual sim-slots? I don't think so
*
As mentioned by the Chinese leaker, this is a chinese variant, which explain the dual SIM

I actually prefer LCD rather than AMOLED.
The colour on AMOLED is so over saturated, too fake.

The best is IPS LCD thumbup.gif

I also prefer LCD but not that type of LCD use by Sony.

I need high quality LCD like IPS, SPVA or SLCD3.
*
Ya I agree. Not to forget Nokia clear back display IPS.

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Mar 15 2013, 05:18 PM)
for me... i like AMOLED coz i now realise what people mean by black being really black.

when i was using the padfone2... i looked at the black... not as nice as the black on the amoled screen.

as for the other colours... i like my red to be red. orange to be orange... <--- lolz... ya, this is kinda stupid statement. what i mean is... i like it bright. biggrin.gif
*
Yeah the "real" black is awesome. thumbup.gif
I once loved AMOLED when the first time I saw it. The photo looks so nice on AMOLED. But then after I transfer my photo from phone to PC, I realized the photo is actually not as saturated as it looks. doh.gif So now I prefer to get a realistic display.

Different people different perspective haha

Screen burn..!?
Amoled or IPS
*
Amoled has organic compounds, which will degrade over time, causes screen burn sweat.gif

samseng fags will still buy it and claim its a revolutionary tech.. same like ifags last time
*
Sigh. Nowadays if you read through some tech blogs or forums, when it comes to Apple vs Samsung, the comment are definitely Samsung-bias. When Apple wins a lawsuit, they complained like there is no tomorrow. When Samsung wins, then they'll say it's a fair just, even if they know nothing about the detail of the lawsuit.

Just hope one day HTC/Sony and other Android OEM can catch up and split the market share evenly.

No, I'm reading coz I'm a tech freak tongue.gif

I'm getting the Note 3. After having used a Note1, then Note2, like what you and probably many others have experienced, I cannot go back to a smaller screen device. Pocketing it is not a problem, and I keep mine in a belt pouch, and it's also using an Otterbox Defender. smile.gif
*
Not a problem for you even if it's 6inch and above?

samsung make great phones

but UI sucks sad.gif, probably bad optimization,
no matter how powerful the phone is

still feel the lagness, even my Optimus 2x with CM10 much smoother than S3 doh.gif
*
Ya because of the touch wiz. But well, there are tons of custom rom out there... nod.gif

For people who like supersexypremiumglassandaluminium

http://www.androidauthority.com/is-plastic...laxy-s4-173494/

"I know some people like their devices to look premium: “If I paid 500 bucks on a phone, it better look like it!” I guess this logic would make the new Vertu Ti (clad in titanium and sapphire crystal) the ultimate Android smartphone, right? Not really, I think we all agree."
*
Vertu cannot compare la, that's luxury.

The design/material is very subjective though.
Eg. I personally would prefer an aluminum macbook rather than plastic for that premium price, while some just doesn't care.

And one thing that still baffles me is that, most of the HTC fans that I know bashed iPhone and BB designs so hard, and then when One came out, all praise it like it's something entirely new despite the obvious copycat.  laugh.gif
*
Well it happens to every brand's fanboys.

Samsung's fans once bashed that the iphones' design are not innovative, well now look at S4 vs S3. Not to forget the original Galaxy S series design is an obvious copycat of iphone.
Nokia is so proud of it's polycarbonate design, keep on reusing it, until today still no major changes.
LG no need mention, look at the optimus pro G.

Isn't fitting a 5" screen on a 4.8" body innovation? and at the same time making it slightly slimmer and lighter too albeit with more sensors and a bigger battery capacity? Isnt that innovation by itself? because samsung knows if they didnt do anything about it, a lot of noisy people will complain 5" is too big for their liking. Now what can you say about the 5" ? Absolutely nothing. The design may be almost the same, but certainly there's innovation there.
*
iPhone 5 is larger, thinner, lighter than its predecessor, more radio chips also bigger battery capacity. In fact, this is the trend of many flagships phones.

No doubt there is some innovation in there, but is it enough to call it innovative? Pretty subjective.

it is larger because it has a bigger screen unlike the S4, which has a bigger screen too, but it didn't increase in size not to mention a bigger battery too. S4 has a bigger screen size, lighter than its predecessor, more sensors and LTE chips too and also a bigger battery capacity. Not sure what you're trying to argue about here.

Trend of many flagship smartphones? You mean only Apple? I'm sorry but it looks like 5" seems to be the trend this year. So I don't know where you get your facts from. Maybe you created them yourself?
*
Funny because when I said trend, I mean "larger, thinner, lighter than its predecessor, more radio chips also bigger battery capacity", isn't this the trend of the flagships over the years? 5" is just a tiny part of the facts.

Not trying to argue, but I pointed out that every flagships are improving, not just S4, but are they enough to be called "innovative"? Bigger screen with similar size = innovative? That is the point. I think I had made myself quite clear. My bad maybe I should have made it more obvious for people.

You don't have to be that offensive, for sure you can support anything you like.

for the s4 the innovative part is the software and new features, innovation means taking something and making it better, think you confuse inventions and innovation, even though your POA is correct, the screen size increase is not innovative, but the big little architecture by ARM is innovative and if proven popular, the new IR may be innovative too just like NFC, now they have all these smart features, they are innovative too, taking a normal front camera and programming codes to do beyond what they are designed to do
*
I was referring to innovation in term of design, not the internal things since my first post.

I think you leaving at iPhone world too long.

Surprising you could said iPhone 5 is the trend of many flagships phone....  doh.gif the way iPhone 5 increasing that extra one bar space does not actually make the screen phone more usable or bigger feel.

iPhone lost any innovation quite sometimes already. It keep repeating minor updates not only outer but OS as well.
*
Sorry but you judged me wrong. I wasn't "leaving" nor living in the iPhone world. ohmy.gif In fact I don't own any apple product.

When I talked about the trend, I mean this > "larger, thinner, lighter than its predecessor, more radio chips also bigger battery capacity", not the iphone 5 as a trend.

Larger, thinner, lighter, bigger battery etc. I can safety say that these apply to every flagship phone.

For me, as long storage 32gb and above,  no point having SD card as that also lead to slower  performance.

A lot normal user even 16GB also enough for them. I am not superb light user but definitely 32GB was enough for me.

I don't really see follow trend of removing sdcard is a bad move.

2nd - I never change battery for my phone in my life before.  So with none removable battery can build better solid back cover is a plus for me. Nowadays a lot user change phone every year or at least two years per one. Within this period, normally battery still serve you well.

what i wrote just now is not about what you need or you think is sufficient. It's the freedom of having that option whereas other manufacturers have followed suit to what Google want. Everytime this is mentioned, cloud is something that most people would say is the future, not here, but on some other forums. Tell me, do you really wanna be that dependent on Google now? Well this is just my opinion btw, to me, its better having that options rather than not having it at all.  smile.gif

Having a sdcard slot and removable battery is a must for me. biggrin.gif
*
The SD card slot is not that important for me, but I do know there are a lot of people need it. Sometimes the purpose is not because of expanding the storage, but for the portability. With SD card you can move and exchange data fast. Further more I think with SD card, hacking(jailbreak/root) will be easier.
