hi, anyone can share how to upgrade the current gps to papago? thx
*
It is simple. Create a ppg folder in your MicroSD card. Copy all the software including the exe into ppg.

Then goto HU, choose App and there is an option for you to select new shortcut point to ppg exe instead of SpeedNavi.

where to get the software? thx

You need to buy. Our HU is windows version. You need to get version X8.5 if not mistaken. I am using this.

You may find from internet, but it is illegal to discuss here.

I guess so...

ZeroHunter, Go and get from SA. They ada lubang cari for you ... My SA have it although I didn't get from him. He did offer copy for me but I didn't accept because I thought it SpeedNavi good enough.

But then later found PPG still the best.

Better pickup same time slight increase of FC but after sometime you will feel nothing once you used to it.
I won't call it upgrade instead alternative map software for your HU but bear in mind when you use Papago your HU will be lag if you trying to run other apps (e.g radio)
Please don't give wrong information if you not sure how to do.
Like epo said, check back the old thread...
Again, don't confuse ppl. Our HU is running on Windows CE (to be precise), by telling ppl Windows (commonly ppl will understand it as Windows XP, 7 or 8 etc) sigh...

I know how to install papago lah.. I just briefly explain to him. If zerohunter come to my house belanja me yamcha .. I can install for him for free also.

But zerohunter, better go to SA. They should serve you tongue.gif

Do yo u think I installed wrongly or?? Anyways i pump esso+caltex ron 97.

Your Forte 2.0 or 1.6? If it is 2.0, the normal one will not give you any improvement as I what I heard from seller. If 2.0, get Super Firestorm.

I bought Super for my 1.6SX. As seller said, it give you power when you drive on highway but not city. I feel the same too. On the highway or road that seldom stop/start, you just press the fuel pedal and release, the car will still continue move further. Also it will improve if you climb up hill.

To understand whether you connect correctly, there is a diagram in cari forum. Jaysonloh88 - He is using the same too.

I don't simply buy product, I have read thru the forum, recommendation from V12Kompressor, This product really not bad. Of course you don't expect it to bring down your car from 1.3 tonne to 1 tonne of weight biggrin.gif

More reviews from lowyat. I read thru from 2011 and all reviews are positive. Of course some others said 'no feel'. smile.gif

It is simple to install Papago on our HU.
First, you have to make sure get the Papago Software version x8.5 with resolution 800x480 (Windows CE). Then you need to create a folder for example "papago x8.5" on your HU SDCard. Extract the content to the folder.
Second, go to your HU click on >> Apps >> Options. You will see the screen allows you to change Skin, Display, Datetime. At the below you will see the 'Navigator Path'. Just change it and point to navi.exe file under papago folder. For Example:
\Storage Card\papago x8.5\navi.exe

Done!

As far as i know, the warning buzzer will beep for a while when we close the car's door..after that, no beep anymore & just drive it wherever u want without the smartkey  whistling.gif
*
Same as SA told me. he gave me warning: "DO NOT LET THE ENGINE RUNNING WITHOUT DRIVER!"

That's why I wondering if we can do something on our car or could that be the case that the alarm is disabled by default and need to enable manually? hmm.gif

I read some other post saying that Optima or Sorento.. The alarm can be enabled very easy by SC. It has the feature but just disabled. Not sure about Forte.

Sometimes you get used to it and no feel. You may unplug it and test drive again. Then you will know the different. You must be sensitive enough. Otherwise, no feel.

I feel lighter, more momentum to move after release pedal. Not sure about FC, bet will not improve anything.

I tested with plug and unplug the firestorm and use the same daily route.

guys, usually i see our forte fc panel show 8l-9l/100km this kind of details, not really know how to compare fc with those calculating using 12l/km method. (but i know lower is better la)

found a converter and i am kinda surprised that fc is not high, can actually compare to so called fuel saver car. brows.gif

http://www.thecalculatorsite.com/conversio...consumption.php

but accurate or not this converter? my highway can get almost 15l and city 12l sweat.gif
*
8L-9L/100KM considered fuel saver car. But sometimes the odometer not so accurate and showing better FC result (but actual case is not). The best way is use fuelly.com to calculate.

My meter showed 8L/100KM always with highway/city mixed driving. When I use fully.com to calculate, it always fall under 9-10L/100KM. With 1L gap.

I am not very sure but you can check with seller. I think now your engine can started means working good. If you think not really work for you, better sell it out and earn back some money smile.gif
