Hi fellow fortezens,

Just wondering whether anyone service their air con before. Do we need to service it? So far have not done anything to the air con. Already 20K and coming to 1 year driving.

I doubt the SC check the air con.

Hey guys, i've been driving my Forte 1.6SX for only a month. Everything is fine and good. No rattling sound, no pull-left symptoms but only one issue i facing, the Air-Cond!!

Throughout the month, i experienced 4 times of the following condition: While i was driving, i switched my 'air-cond' to 'ON', fan speed 2, 20 degree celcius and set to internal-circulating air mode. The problem is the air blown was hot, and it was like air from the outside. I tot i set the mode to 'external' mode (Greenlight) but no, everything was in proper but how come its hot? After probably 20mins with that situation, it suddenly turns to cold~~(as though i need to accelerate to certain speed on the road only it turns cold)

I've told the SC in BBK-Klang to check (under my 1st 1k service), but they said everything is ok, compressor, fan, refrigerant etc.. all in good condition!!

Anyone experiencing the same problem?!? i really wanna know wat is the problem..hope u guys can help....

TQ~!!

Meaning it's not in auto mode? If it is auto mode, u do know that depending on certain condition (which i'm not 100% sure what is) - the aircond will automatically switch the mode to external or internal unless you explicitly specify it. When i say explicitly means even though when you press auto, it is currently in internal - you need to push the internal circulation mode again, then your auto light will go off..but it is still in auto mode..hope that makes sense..if that's the problem that is tongue.gif

I am using 95 all the way. Don't wanna try out 97. If the result is really better, I will spend extra 100 on my already 300 permonth. So no review for 97 from me. You try a few tanks and let me know...

My sis did verify with the Service center, they used the 5w30 syntium 3000. So my conclusion is that the petrol did make the car abit heavy. Before the 1000km service we pump 97, right after the service we straight pump 95. That my point of view, can't really be 100% sure. Might try to pump back 97 again and see....

I believe the ESC or specifically the Traction Control did its job there to save the car (& u for sure). When the car lift up (front lift), the front tires is on the air & rotate freely. When the ESC/TC sensors detects that the tires is rotating freely out of grip, the ECU rev down the engine (reducing engine torque) & turn off the cruise control to avoid mishap. This might also happen when u suddenly accelerate hard  on a slippery or sandy road (tire will slip & out of grip due to extra torque). Could u imagine this..if let say your car lifted in the air & the car did not turn off the cruise control..due to panic or common instinct, u then might turn the steering wheel in the air resulting sudden change of direction during landing (because the cruise control is still on & front tires is rotating fast)..in this case, the car might roll over with ease. So thank God that the ESC/TC works perfectly during that bump incident  thumbup.gif

I have personally experience this before but not due to road bump..but due to slippery road during raining (not using the cruise control but because of sudden acceleration)

Ahh...You reminded me. The TC. Might be it. I did not think of TC because my ESP light did not turn on. Thank you for sharing. By the way, your sirip ikan yu is VG? All inclusive is RM 300 leh.

My take is that the fan motor might be faulty. I had the same thing with my saga and my dad's wira. Must get up to speed then AC only will turn cold.

Mine have to change motor, dad's is self heal. Suddenly it is OK till the day we sell the car.

Might also be the new engine oil. New oil is thicker hence heavier feel. At least I feel that way la. After you are used to it for 2 days, you will forget how it was. Heavier but you can feel the engine accelerate smoother.

For smoother acceleration, try BHP. But I feel that BHP is not giving the instant power like Petron. Heck. No Petron, no Petronas. I rather go to Shell.p

one of my friend suggested Caltex, i just refilled full tank like few days ago, already 11xkm so far, i feel power is lower compare to bhp which i used previously, need to press harder to accelerate, dunno is placebo or what, will finish the tank and see how, and yeah definitely no petronas and petron for me too tongue.gif

my opinion

forte 1.6sx rm85xxx
-1.6L with 6 speeds auto with +/- and paddle shifter
-reverse camera with the screen on the rear mirror
-built in gps and navigation
-push start/stop engine button
-DRL

(above are what the kor have but jap don't)

vios 1.5G rm87xxx
-1.5L 4 speeds auto WITHOUT paddle shifter or +/-
-na
-na
-na
-na

city 1.5S rm85xxx
-1.5L 5 speeds auto WITHOUT paddle shifter or +/-
-na
-na
-na
-na

**prices are before discount** tongue.gif

service and maintenance cost are roughly the same, around rm200 for authorized sc, fc surely cannot beat vios, forte is heavier by around 300kg iinm coz it's full loaded with features and gadgets tongue.gif fc is the biggest selling point of vios tongue.gif
