Hey guy,
My sis just get herself a 1.6SX Forte on April 2013, she went for 1st 1000km service at NS AUTO USJ S/B. After this servicing she feel that the car seem like abit heavy in term the acceleration not as smooth as before servicing. Any idea what went wrong?? By the way, our hometown is in east coast of peninsular that why we hit 1000km within a month.

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ May 10 2013, 08:38 AM) I hit 1k in 1.5 weeks. 2nd day already 300. I also feel the same when I go first service in Kinrara SC. I am sure that they are using Syntium 3000, but I am not sure if they are using 5w30 or 5w40. I did not go check back then because i was busy verifying if they pour in 4 litre or 3.9 litre at that time. At that time I thought the slugginess come from the excessive fuel amount. I will give them a call some day to verify. You should too. Thanks for the feedback, will ask my sis to verify with the service center again. By the way, the 5w30 or 5w40 used for the engine really affect the acceleration that much?? So which is the correct one to use??

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ May 10 2013, 10:45 PM) From what I read in version 4 or 5 thread, the correct one is 5w30. They use syntium 3000 which is developed specially for Forte. All other Syntium 3000 out there is 5w40. I have yet to rectofy this too. Oh ok, will check it. Thanks

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ May 11 2013, 06:39 PM) Mine I confirmed it is Syntium 3000. Whether it is 30 or 40 I need to check. I bet your car now feels very heavy. Hi Lingleeyen, How about the petrol used? 97 or 95 will affect the smoothest of acceleration?

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ May 12 2013, 01:28 PM) I am using 95 all the way. Don't wanna try out 97. If the result is really better, I will spend extra 100 on my already 300 permonth. So no review for 97 from me. You try a few tanks and let me know... My sis did verify with the Service center, they used the 5w30 syntium 3000. So my conclusion is that the petrol did make the car abit heavy. Before the 1000km service we pump 97, right after the service we straight pump 95. That my point of view, can't really be 100% sure. Might try to pump back 97 again and see....

QUOTE(lingleeyen @ May 13 2013, 10:52 PM) Might also be the new engine oil. New oil is thicker hence heavier feel. At least I feel that way la. After you are used to it for 2 days, you will forget how it was. Heavier but you can feel the engine accelerate smoother. For smoother acceleration, try BHP. But I feel that BHP is not giving the instant power like Petron. Heck. No Petron, no Petronas. I rather go to Shell.p Haha, yup will only pump Shell;Caltex; or bHp. If got old esso station why not but no to Petron haha.
