if I were you, I will not say to avoid our Forte too advance. Simply irrelevant.

Naza Kia omitted this feature because they understood that majority Malaysian will ignore the seatbelt warningsign. And also they won't appreciate the warning chime sound keep bothering the users and in the end customers will bring back to SC to disable the audible seatbelt warning chime.

As for the Optima K5, Kia engineers in Korea made the chime sounds much more pleasant than our current Forte. Naza Kia decided not to alter anything in K5 since it's CBU unit from Korea but our Forte is CKD made so they can not include the seatbelt warning since not many Malaysians will appreciate it.

I don't agree with what you said. You speak for Naza or this is what they said?

This is safety feature, only Malaysia approve for that. If go outside, sure kena reject.

Naza happy to remove it so can save one cable/sensor connected to seat belt. Furthermore no need to provide warranty on this item. nod.gif

Whether you agree or not, it is mentioned like that from some local automotive magazines back few years ago. Not that I am so free to reka cerita.

Waja in Y2K era till it's end of their life-cycle does have the warning seatbelt sign too if observe carefully on instrument cluster. And it is non-functional too like Malaysia assembled Forte.

I used to own Waja EV 2004 brand new which comes with Dual SRS airbags and they don't have seatbelt warning sound and light indicator too. There was an error occured after few months of ownership that airbag indicator light keeps flashing and sent for warranty repair. Upon Proton technicians dismantled the seatbelt at B pillar plastics, there was a seatbelt sensor module inside which connects to the airbags system. Don't think that airbags safety feature is affected just because of warning chime and seatbelt light reminder is only disabled. The crucial sensors are still there.

no need to argue, event it have the chime sound (whatever you call it), it will be somehow 'MANUALLY' disable by the driver....If you notice alot imported used car, you will find this

Another big talker in magazine and just to speak for Naza for some reason.

Yeah .. Naza and Proton no different. Will remove whatever they can to save some money for themselves.

MyVI has the feature very useful and reminder to wear seat belt .. first of course safety and 2nd avoid kopi duit to mata.

Read again at my extended post above. I am also talking based on experience and logic.

PS: I owned Vios 2009 and it has very annoying beep beep beep sound and after 30 seconds it will continues beep faster until the driver fedup while just driving around parking lot looking for carpark. And UMW Toyota SC said many Vios customers requested to gunting the seatbelt buzzer chime. True Story.

I believe what you said. This is really depends on individuals. Some like it and some doesn't. For me, I like it very much.

For Naza, or magazine talker, they cannot simply remove the feature since got some feedback from certain people only.

^ Whats the point of arguing? Don't like the chime? Go disable. Don't like the 'bisu'ness, go add. But make it a habit la pls, buckle up before starting ur engine, after locking ur door.

We accept of what car manufacturer provided to us. Bisu or not, Airbags will still works fine when unfortunate situation needs it to protect the car occupants as long as we buckle up.

Yupp..this is absolutely an individual preference. No need to argue on this. Though i agree with u that it (the chime) meant for safety, but what's the point if the driver himself still do not want to buckle up. My own father is the clear case in this matter..the seat belt is wearing him instead of he wearing the seatbelt..just to avoid the warning chime..lolz doh.gif

By the way..this chime is stated as an option in the manual. Though NazaKia took out this chime, i believe this doesn't mean that Naza wanna save cost/warranty. If wanna save cost, better took out the other more expensive features such as keyless entry or engine start/stop rather than the cheapo buzzer/chime with it sensors tongue.gif

Just got my car from Edwin last Saturday. Basically no hassle in my purchase. Everything is quick and precise. Good SA. Recommended. Good offer, honest, no hanky panky.

I however am bothered about the figure on ODO. The figure shows 30km plus when I first get my car. I am not sure what happened but I want to believe he drives it to do BK and tinting. Also, during hand over inspection, I found a small spot scratch, which is not serious, therefore I did not make a fuss out of it. I am not sure if I am the only one but I found quite an amount of small small glue patched and lines on the exterior and interior, maybe due to the BK installation and interior due to tinting process. These are small problems which I think would compensate the possible bigger problem if I get it from a none trustable SA.

I drove 300km for the past 2 days. Very satisfied with the car. Left pull issue is very very very very minimal. Rattling not yet appear. Bumped in to a big hole with LOUD KOOONG sound on the first 5km of drive. Luckily no dent on rim and no damage on tire.

Add me to the owner list. 2.0 titanium silver. Welcome to the club.

If ODO below 50km during collection..it's acceptable for me. Maybe it's due to some test drive at the factory or drive to do BK & tinting as what u said.

Surely ODO will have 2x or 3x km.
New car need to send to JPJ for inspection and also registering of your car.
Unless the factory, showroom and JPJ office are side-by-side.

Hmm. The last time I got my plotong (with 13km on ODO) was from wangsa maju. If it is like what you said, the JPJ is just very near and no tinting or BK or what so ever.

Thanks for clarifying for me.

Mine had some too due to the bodykit installation. After sending for a good professional wash, it went away.

300km in 2 days? That's fast. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Anyway, congrats!
