QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 10 2023, 09:52 AM) Thanks to some family or friends influence.... education should start from young till old.All out.... Using retirement $$$.. I think... EPF or gomen must do some education course or workshop for those near retirement.... Make sure don't fall into trap... Financial advisors must give inputs.... If not... Every years sure have many people always lose the $$ or not enough $$$ to survive im cynical, so i think government around the world never intended to empower the people, just want them to sign up more credit cards, take more debts, and housing loans. enrich the corrupted banking and finance sector. government should put into prison those who promote these scams. disgusting to cheap elderly people's money so they can earn some commission from there. I don't talk much about ASB. It's a system other races have no access to.
But yes. Reports should report both ASB and epf. Not just showing stats on epf. So misleading. |

Does it take time for it to reflect? ====================== *Nota: 1) Dividen Tahun 2023: Dividen Belum Diisytiharkan 2) Selain dari Akaun 1 dan Akaun 2, rujuk penyata sub-akaun bagi butiran terperinci. timeekit liked this post

QUOTE(Wedchar2912 @ Apr 12 2023, 04:26 PM) Agree with your point about concentration risk. So those who are too young or no where near 1 million rm mark, need to really look into all scenarios. But if it is about putting extra 100rm each month into EPF, its ok lar... won't change your wealth risk profile much. My company didn't let me maxYeah, even at my firm, I was the first person (HR told me) to increased my contribution rate to way excess of 50% and she was in shocked. It is all to do with the rubbish fearmongering rumors like: EPF is risky, gov is here to steal your money, some racists rumors also which I shall not spell out, etc... Of course I did it because it is a safer, more efficient and rewarding way of parking my cash. Max is 35 |

Anyone can explain to me the loan thing?
End of the day, is it a good debt or a bad debt. |

QUOTE(xander2k8 @ Apr 13 2023, 02:38 AM) Which is why EPF now not a social institution but farming profit to its subsidiaries instead 🤦♀️ if i use it to put into epf?Why on earth would you wanna get yourself such debt Bad debt because the rates are high and if the purpose of using this debt to cover higher interest debt it might be a different but unlikely because those who borrow this is already in deep trouble 🤦♀️ will it be a good strategy? |

QUOTE(Rinth @ Apr 13 2023, 10:48 AM) I've found something interesting...... it's good debt.![]() Borrow RM 50k put in EPF assume interest 4.5%(same rate as you loan), end of 10 years = RM 78,349.64 Based on MBSB repayment table for 10 years, 1st 12 months repayment RM 187.50 13th onwards RM 564.00 = RM 63,162.00 Different RM 15k over the span of 10 years, same interest rates..... is my calculation correct ah????? or somewhere wrong??? If correct means the timing differences of 1 shoot RM 50k deposit to EPF actually is worth while, even if the interest rate is same... free money, why not... |
