Is it advisable to maintain or change to shariah compliant?

I believe the low hanging fruits will still be given to ASB; not sure whether the shariah compliant will be able to match the ASB dividends.

Once the total registration for Simpanan Shariah reaches the quota for the year, members who have applied for Simpanan Shariah but failed to secure an allocation will need to wait for the next annual Shariah fund allocation.

At age of 60, we can withdraw all out from EPF.
What if we did not withdraw all from EPF at age 60?
1. From there forward, will EPF still pays us yearly dividend?
2. If I decided to withdraw at age 61, can I do so? If yes, whats the amount can i withdraw out at age 61, 62, etc... ?

Hi guys, may be abit OT here, check my EPF statement, seem my employer didn't deposit for me on February due to technical error/glitch(according to HR) eventhough my contribution part had been deducted.

if the problem persist, who should i contact ya?
*
contact your HR 1st.....maybe it is true abt technical glitch.....

or
Contribution Month
The contribution month is the month in which contribution is payable based on the salary of the preceding month. Contribution for any given month must be paid on or before the 15th of the month.
For example, in the case of salary for January 2009, the contribution month is February 2009, and contribution must be paid on or before 15th February. (The contribution for any given month is from the salary deduction from the previous month).

maybe the company is having $$ cash flow problem....

Under the new standard, capital gains on disposal of equity ............. will flow directly to retained earnings under the balance sheet instead of the income statement as under the previous MFRS 139. Alizakri also said the EPF will no longer recognise any impairment on its listed equity holdings.

EPF’s high 2018 payouts not due to MFRS 9

you need to read more, don't put high expectation especially this new Gov need to sort out the debt

Malaysia debt is increasing after took over from previous Gov which again it's unlikely to get 5% above.

4.5% is a projection which is more logic and honest
https://themalaysianreserve.com/2020/01/20/...-weak-equities/
*
from your link....
"..........experts forecasting a distribution of between 5.5% and 6.15%, largely dragged by the poor performance of the local stock market."

are you saying that their projection is not logic and honest, while yours of 4.5 is more logic and honest than theirs?

anyway,....
experts had been wrong too......
just last year....
EPF dividend of 5% possible, 6% may be difficult
https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/epf-...ay-be-difficult
if not mistaken, last year EPF actual is 6.15?

at times reading more is not helpful as it could gives information overload and undue stress of digesting it and may even cloud one judgement devil.gif

I don't see the amount of payout as a reason to limit the dividend rate... For as the AUM will increase almost yearly, the amount of payout will increase too....

KWSP has like 800bil and 30% foreign investment while PNB has like 300bil and 8% foreign investment ( trying to reach 30% too in 2-3 years time ). KWSP 30% foreign investment brought in 37% of the income..

going for another 22% into overseas investment in the next 2~3 yrs....??
will this cause the deduction of local mkts investment?....maybe that is why local mkts had been in the doldrum?
20% from 300 billion out from the KLCI? impact in the next 2~3 yrs?

Got this from this site....

EPF dividend calculated is based on daily rest.
Means that, dividend is calculated based on daily balanced of each account 1 and 2.
However, please bear in mind the following,

a) Monthly contribution start earnings dividend only on the last day of the month irrespective the actual day the monthly contribution is deposited.

b) For withdrawal, dividend for the withdrawal sum is only eligible up to the day prior to withdrawal day. No dividend will be given on the withdrawal day.

How to Calculate EPF Dividend?
https://1-million-dollar-blog.com/how-to-ca...e-epf-dividend/

thus it is based on daily rest BUT not calculated as daily for money that was just deposited for that month.... doh.gif rclxub.gif

2018 picture. Revised my calculation using 70/30 rule. Increase withdrawal from RM6k to RM10k. Assume bottom 8.2 million member all withdraw up to max in their account 1 savings = RM2.36B only out of RM612B. That's 0.385% , would this even qualify as a dent ?  rolleyes.gif

It's kinda boring. 2.5% guaranteed by law already beating the Malaysia inflation of the last 10 years average 2% and less. Means whatever u save/put in, your capital is protected against inflation already. Anything above that is growth of capital. The value of EPF you have assurance of growth in long view. However, growth is not 1 part of the story, the board that sit on EPF consist broad represented group/segment society that oversee the management of the fund. A lot of eyes are watching it. Outside platform, probably private entity Tom Dick and Harry sitting inside the board of the company looking at your fund.

on that highlighted thing,...Tabung Haji did not have that previously?

Look at the example of 1MDB, a lot of financial institutions, auditors, board of directors themselves are rotten to the core. So, perhaps for the case of Tabung Haji, u have that situation too unfortunately that collaborate together and siphon the money or making bad deals.

Please pay attention to the case of 1MDB now starting/resuming and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Even former BN Zeti is not escapeable from scrutiny. You see these political people siphoning and in complicit making deals and lining their own pockets.

Don't be surprise, Tabung Haji can fail. It's question of how many rottens outweight the good ones in a company or an institution. EPF has bigger group watching over it, to bribe all the segment to comply to do whatever these people want probably more difficult in EPF but not impossible.

Slowly, you screw driver out the CEO, and couple of undesireable and place your own people in to get whatever policy you want.
