There's should be some law in Malaysia on inheritance. or some procedures like EPF...

I mean follow like EPF style...
Those nominated get their part. No headache... straight forward....
*
If you have a will, there is no headache. If no will, it will goes to this what Amanah something to handle and they will charge you a percentage plus lots of headaches.

to get the probate letter takes 1-2 months... it's not instant. at least 1 trip to high court in Putrajaya. waiting time.
*
I don't see how 1-2 mths is an issue. You just have to wait, that's all. I have waited much longer for other shit to happen.

Once you have the probate letter, Banks will immediately release the fund to you on the spot.

don;'t know why the super rich don't pass like half of their wealth to their next gen... but die die also hold on to the full wealth until death. Then again, they deploy holding company and trust for their estate management.

Basically the probate is Verification of the will by the High Court only.

To me it wastes money on
1. Lawyers
2. High court judge time
3. Beneficiary time
*
Ah but then? You want a no law country? I buy house also waste money on lawyers. How ? I sue people to get back money also waste money on lawyers. How? Hire gangster to beat them up faster? All these things is to prevent the funds from being illegally access. If suka suka can access by anyone without verifications and validation, what would become of this country? Sorry if i sounded sarcastic now, because i am.

Yup..EPF has bigger overseas equity exposure than in KLSE.
*
But EPF now has lesser exposure to overseas market right? Some recent hoo haas. If i remember correctly EPF now only has about 30%+ overseas. Somemore still got people hoo haa want the money back in Malaysia....you know lah, all the cronies business need support.

This is just we thinking what is good for us only but not overall as a nation... if interest rates go up.. it is not about property only... many businesses will suffer... go kaput as well.. our labour will become expensive to foreign companies and our exports also can be more expensive...

End of the day... the scenario that you wish... probably may end up worse overall for everyone in Malaysia... i think it is a balancing act and personally I don't really understand how all these work and connected to each other... without data... (eg.. how many loans koyak if interest rate up etc)... hard to see the overall picture...
*
Last time interest rates 10%+, belum mati also? Now 3% now sakit gigi? Besides, no country can keep interest rates artificially low and not good for the country in the overall picture.

I reckon inflation is really high and we have a fake inflation number which doesn't help in adjusting the current situation

Property is already bad in such low interest rate. Imagine if it goes higher 💀
*
People can't afford properties anymore except the rich unkers here in Lowyat.net. The fairy tale runs has long ended. Low or high, no difference.

not really... i still see some new hires in my company...with about 2-3 years experience, they manage to buy condo...not big landed house la...which i am pretty much impress and admire them also still being able to buy at this time now... not bad...
i'm not talking about 1...but a few...maybe 4-5 of them all manage to buy property...
*
That is a small minority. Inconsequential in the bigger market situations.

delay delay delay...

that's why I suspect... something is wrong. they double triple checking all the application. cross check with every agencies... making sure only those really really qualified & needed gets the rm300... not anyone in street @ jobless for few months....
but others says gov no money... so needed to wait them... that's why delay...

so basically...

2 major speculative reason to consider....
*
i don't know what is there to check. If your EPF no regular contribution from employer and income tax no monthly deduction, already confirmed. That is i-saraan. Not i-bagi derma.

but after 55, self contribution go to akaun emas right? if yes then whatever you self contribute also will stuck in akaun emas..... though u should have surplus in akaun 55 and if emergency want to use the 100k still can literally withdraw it from akaun 55....
*
Yes. Until you are 60. So if you don't have surplus to grow for 5 years from 55 to 60, don't contribute.

Good point. MYR is in accelerating depreciation stage. The country might not hold it for another 20-30 years.

Yeah OZ groceries r cheap that is if one always cook at home but if working n eating out most of time, the cost could be high.
Most young MYsian dont like cooking, may be your daughter is different.
*
Here also same lah nowadays, eating outside price very high now. Most of the time the cheaper meals like Chicken rice can't get you much chicken, kedekut sial a few piece of tiny chicken, mostly rice. Now rice increase price, rice portion also reduced. Rafizi says cook at home cheaper, but lazy Malaysians unable to accept reality that eating out is a luxury nowadays. Like recent case....20 people go eat seafood, then bill RM 1.2k, go viral complain at Tik Tok. No money, do the no money way. No money don't do rich people's way.
