No quite sure with 3DS but I remember my old DS Lite requiring me to use a different security setting for it to work.
But I think the 3DS supports all security settings.

Check System Settings > Other Settings > Profile > Region Settings If you set for Malaysia, you can't enter the e-shop, because Malaysia don't have one.. |

Eh, since eShop on 3DS doesn't accept credit card outside from the US,how do i get funds for it w/ credit card besides using the prepaid card.
EDIT: ok nvm, read the faqs. But one more question, does digital copies from the Canada eShop give you coins for Club Nintendo? This post has been edited by nubfight4: Apr 30 2013, 06:56 PM |

sadly, that's the only way
although someone said that can use foreign debit/credit card on Canada eShop... haven't tested myself on it to confirm it whether it works or not |

Hey guys, I am new to Nintendo and thinking of getting a 3DS XL.
Want to know what is the life cycle of portables for nintendo. Eg. 7-8 years for a console to be released. How does the online store work? I have a Vita so wondering if its the same. Any additional info you think might help would be much appreaciated! |
