Can fix one. Change the security type maybe?
No quite sure with 3DS but I remember my old DS Lite requiring me to use a different security setting for it to work.
But I think the 3DS supports all security settings.

my net line is either streamyx(at work) or at home (unifi). It's set to wpa2 if not mistaken.
My 3ds internet security is set to WEP and I didn't change anything on router. No problems connecting to either internet or eshop at either location hmm.gif

Do you update your 3DS to latest firmware?

Check System Settings > Other Settings > Profile > Region Settings

If you set for Malaysia, you can't enter the e-shop, because Malaysia don't have one..

Eh, since eShop on 3DS doesn't accept credit card outside from the US,how do i get funds for it w/ credit card besides using the prepaid card.

EDIT: ok nvm, read the faqs. But one more question, does digital copies from the Canada eShop give you coins for Club Nintendo?

Leave your wifi to default settings and then make sure your 3DS region settings is US one. It don't affect your internet settings.
I think you wifi isn't the problem.. since you can connect internet with 3DS browser, right? hmm.gif

Hey guys, I am new to Nintendo and thinking of getting a 3DS XL.

Want to know what is the life cycle of portables for nintendo. Eg. 7-8 years for a console to be released.

How does the online store work? I have a Vita so wondering if its the same.

Any additional info you think might help would be much appreaciated!

Not the same. Unlike PSN, e-shop don't have account system. It's tied to hardware only.

read Faqs here. About 3DS

My DS Lite is still working fine too after about 8 years, although the touch screen is not as accurate as I want it to be.....
