Guys, need some opinion. currently have Nikon 35 and 50 mm G lens. My pictures mainly consists of tight space, i.e. inside house, not bungalow  whistling.gif

my take are mainly childrens and was looking at selling both these underutilized lens to get Nikon 20mm.

my question is what will I missed out from 35/50 if I acquired the 20mm or what would I gain with 20mm over 35/50mm other than wider.

my engine, D7000. your personal opinion much appreciated.

Tamron 17-50mm suits your need. 20mm on DX still not wide enough, on FX different story

hahaha if u got camwhoring also okay mah..
nowadays i see kids bringing SLR to school and for jalan2 at mall.. shooting direct popup flash to the face hahaha

makes me feel old.. during my time starting using SLR around 2005 it was considered luxury to own SLR; i remember FM2 being superly hot chick magnet. everywhere u bring sure will got chicks ask u to shoot them ha ha ha

now even kids have their own sLR, they see u using then ask u "abang, boleh ajar saya kah macamana mau shoot pakai ni kamera supaya tidak blur"
i was like.. what? buy camera 1st then learn later!! how lucky kids nowadays..

Well you need to decide yourself how wide you want it to be... it's like comparing oranges to apples. no right or wrong there.

If you still want it to be light, then maybe the 20mm or 24mm is your only choice.

But if you don't mind spending a little bit more and dont mind using zooms, you can go and try out the

- sigma 17-50 OS
- sigma 18-50 (older model but cheaper)
- tamron 1750 (VC model bit more expensive)

OR if you just have a lot more to spend.. maybe try the Nikon 17-55 ? thumbup.gif

Sorry for the disturb, I think last time I mentioned before.

What is the fastest and easiest photo editing software to convert RAW file to JPEG by putting back the colour code?

ViewNX? I heard of Adobe RAW. what is that?

Thanks. I have the tokina 11-16. What I need is a light fix lens that I can carry around sometimes, where those big lens can stay home at a budget. I need to sell both 35/50 lens and maybe top up to get a used one. Wanna ask opinion as dun want to regret drop 2 fix lens for 20mm fix.
