never tried with TF101 charger..surprised it charges faster..means it outputs more amps than stock charger? stock charger already putting out 2amps if not mistaken

even TF101 user are impressed how fast it charges actually
but it gets hot ...really hot

i dn't knw how to see
but here on the adapter...it said output 5-15V=2-1.2A
charging the whole TF101 from start only takes 1 hour to reach 100%

Guys.what is the current new price for nexus 7 now? any idea if any new model coming out?

My unit really charge long time, 1% need 30 mins to charge. Any solution for this or I need to send it to service centre. I just unroot and relock back the boot loader

I am having a very slow charge too. Before, I charged my N7 for 3 hours-ish. Never had any problem since I bought it on August last year. But these days, it takes 10-12 hours or even more to reach 100%.

But then, I notice a pattern that lead to that problem. Since I returned from USA, my niece always play my N7. And she always play it until it totally run out of juice. Every time she handed me my N7 it will be zero % (you know when you boot up your N7 it shows the red exclamation mark on battery)

The weird thing is, it takes forever to charge. Like maybe 8% per hour charging.

Today I think I have solved the problem. I followed this theory. I don't know if it's true or not. It seems like the battery needs a certain type of program to charge. I have no idea what is the name of the program. Since my N7 is dead, it seems like the program is not running at early time of charging, hence very slow charging time. And N7 failed to start the program even if the battery level has reached a decent level, maybe above 14%. So, in order to curb that problem, I think soft reset might help to restart that program. Here are the steps.

1) I charge my dead N7 using the charger, not USB (I haven't tried using USB), but i think using USB is much slower.

2)wait for maybe 10 minutes, so you get maybe 1% or 2% of battery life

3)Soft reset N7, I hold all three buttons for maybe 10 seconds (power, volume up and down button), then it will enter the bootloader mood. Wait 3-5 seconds and then scroll to 'power off' option. Select option using power button. N7 will then shut down

4)Unplug charger. Now wait for a couple of minutes before proceeding to next step. I wait 3-5 minutes.

5)Start N7. Wait until enter homescreen. Then quickly plug charger back.

I did that and I manage to get increment of 1% in every 3 minutes. So, basically it will take 300 minutes (5 hours) to charge to 100%.

Next time I'm gonna plug my charger once the battery dropped to 14%, never let battery totally run out of juice anymore.

p/s Still cannot get 3 hours like before but better than waiting for 12 hours

Also, I heard with the latest jelly bean, it should take 5 hours. Anyone can confirm that?

Hey guys, anyone know any lowyat seller that sell Asus OEM charging cable? The one that comes with the nexus 7 set? Mine is broken months ago. Since then I have been using normal USB cable. That might explain why my charge rate is slower than before. I still have the adapter, just the cable is broken. I've been looking for quite some time in lowyat. Appreciate your help!

Just my 2 cents. I've been using a RM5 replacement cable from Daiso for everyday charging, and find that the charging rate is no different from the original cable.

My opinion, no need to spend premium on cables.

Why insecure ? Satugadget is a trusted reliable seller. They have a very, very big outlet ( at least 3 X the size of most retail shops) at Wisma PGRM. I have bought from them 3 times at their shop and 3 times through poslaju. All transactions smooth and easy

Charging should not take more than 3 hours ; my sets were previously the WiFI only sets. TRy testing with other charger /cable to eliminate possibility of bad battery.
