Just remember Gapps.. Remember to give time and let ROM and data settle down. 2 - 3 battery cycles to show full batt drainage. Amateurs/ noobs tends to flash, try and revert/ change other roms. Which is not the correct way to test ROMs.

Is it still a good idea to buy this tablet? i know it's been out for quite some time. also, where's the best place to get it from?
*
Since it's May already now, I would recommend you to wait for Nexus 7 for another 2 months if you can wait.
Price will be almost the same.

i noticed that my nexus 7 battery drained quite high for past few days.before sleep the battery is about 38% and after i woke up only 7% available which is never happened before.

I have checked background running apps and saw nothing unusual..do anyone have this kind of problem too? sad.gif

NFC, Location Services, Wifi, Bluetooth all of these if left ON, will consume quite a bit of battery juice. Turn them off if you do not use them.

This one I think you need an app called "betterbatterystat"

The spec sheet states APQ8064 without the T iteration. So its S4.

I doubt google will include phone capabilities to Nexus 7 since they're doing things the pure way

whistling.gif I would be much more happier since using a tablet to call looks awkward nevertheless

Hehe, I am actually using the phone capabilities for my prepaid cellular. Only the phone features can work with USIM codes to check balance, top-up credits etc.

And as a bonus, since my prepaid cellular is giving free minutes and sms to all telco every month....the tablet with phone function would be convenient for me to spend those free credits biggrin.gif

It'll be a pain to have to take out the simcard every now and then and have a spare phone nearby to do the top-up, balance check n to call/sms sweat.gif
