Not so expensive-lah! ..Roughly the minimum rates are:

Kancil = RM40/day, Wira=RM50-60/day, Sentra1.6/Civic1.7=RM70/day, Altis RM90/day, & etc..Anything higher u kena ketuk.
However if it is weekend school holiday & Public Holiday, expecting the price to double such as Sentra instead of RM70 will be ~RM120 & etc....

But beware..they normally quoted high and up to u to bargain kaw-kaw...If u dunno how to bargain..gone...

school holidays can expect the rental to shoot from rm10-rm20..also applies for weekend charge..during LIMA, i think it will be shoot up too...well, when u reach the jetty, just survey around and ask for the cheapest price..

I don't know. You'll have to call them and see. I was there for work and my boss dumped me there for a week...

It's also in Kuah town. So you'll really need a car or a bike if you want to visit LIMA.

or thumb a lift... smile.gif.

LIMA, unless you have business to be there, I would suggest you to avoid it altogether... Hotels are charging rack rates... car rental rates are top rated... not too sure bout food... for one... even off season, its not cheap.

3 ways to go to langkawi

Opt 1 : Flight
Opt 2 : Ferries
Opt 3: Bring your own car but yet still have to use ferries

this is what u should know before u go there

for Opt 1, flight ticket via Air asia is quite reasonable but must at least book 3 months before flight. Yet u still have to rent a car
for Opt 2, bring your car to kuala kedah or kuala perlis and go to langkawi via ferry. RM15 on kuala perlis and RM18 on kuala kedah.

ferry on kuala kedah, straight cruise through the open sea, if u got seasick i wouldn't recommend this trip better go there via kuala perlis route safety and shorter distance compared from kuala kedah. less on open sea cause ferry use the route in between sceneric islands. if you park ur car at covered park, that would cost u rm7 perday both place same price (If they didn't raise it yet)

for Opt 3, where u want to use your car at langkawi (recommended for longer stay at langkawi) u have to sent your car at an area where they can ship your can within one day to langkawi. example: if u sent your car at 9am on 10th dec, the next 9am 11th dec u'll have ur car at the island via Tanjung Lembong port. u have to take a taxi to go there to fetch ur car

- langkawi has many interesting things to watch and learn. trust me it will worth your money.

Hi everyone, I have a question here.

The 10 of us plan to go Langkawi end of November. I did some research regarding the apartment available in Langkawi. These are the choices

1. Kondo Istana
2. Century Suria Service Apartment
3. Sri Lagenda Resort Apartment

All these apartment are located in Kuah town (if im not mistaken). Out of these 3 apartment, which is the best? Plz give me your opinion. Thanks
*
seems like v both had same plan...but mine is during LIMA period...even worse....
