recommended awana porto malai. RM175 per day (if they didn't increase the rate lah)

if u want some place nearby Chenang area, can try AB motel for RM40 per day. can request air-cond rooms also.

anything just ask me.

and oh do visit eagle feeding at Jalan Kisap nearby Galeria Perdana at Kilim area. U can experience eagle feeding and those boatman will take u go round langkawi beach area

I prefer the hot weather.

Find a nice secluded spot to skinny dip and get a total tan...

It's easier to take stuff out by bus and ferry than by plane. The custom usually closed 2 eyes unlike airport custom.

LIMA Langkawi 2007 on 4-8 December.
*
Not 4-8 Dec, they started from 1st Dec, all the hotels during this time will be fully book or unless you pay for very high surcharge fees

I usually just buy a bottle of wine and some chocolates.

Careful about the 2 bottles if you're going by plane. You're just restricted to a litre. Unless you're there for a long time (like me), they don't bother checking your hand luggage.

But better to drink there. Nothing like a tall cold one in a beach with makciks staring at you...

I dont want makcik to stare at me la... those "hot" mat salleh ladies gracing Pantai Cenang in bikinis... smile.gif are the ones I am after.. and some jappies... but alas wifey beside me..

I took 2 botoi ma.. coz me and my wifey.. smile.gif gonna try my luck with my 2 kids.. to take "extra" kekekeke...

Chocs will be my wifey's dept, she is entrusted to load one bagful of them and she exceeded my expectations, by filling 2 trolley bags.... well, I never once doubted she will fail anyhow... sad.gif.

hi.. I am khairul... I'm planning vacation to langkawi on 6 to 8 Januari 2008. I already book for the flight and hotel.

I pay rm113/night for deluxe room at Langkasuka Beach Resort. Who can give opinion about that hotel? Somebody said direct booking to that hotel you can get below rm100...

But I still not book for the car... Appreciate if some contacts can be provided for affordable car rental.

How about rental car in airport.. What is the price there?

Where is the best place to go?

Thanks for all your assistance.

owh damn, sorry guys...forgot to update my trip to langkawi few weeks ago...

it was great...thanks to u guys...

just dat, my trip was delay 2 to 3 hours due to heavy rain n it cos flood...n its in the news actually...damn!

tips if any of u r going there:

1. b4 u ride the cable car, check the peak of the mountain 1st...if it surrounded with clouds...dont bother to ride it...cos when u r up there, u wont b able to c anything around...u only c thick fog... sweat.gif

2. kperlis or kkedah? 45 min or 1hour30mins trip with ferry? dont hv any diff except u spend less/more time on it....u wont feel tired...ferry condition is good...like stay in bus only. if posible, try to fetch morning ferry. on the afternoon, the sea tend to be wavy...ur ferry ride will b a lil bit uncomfortable...

ferry between kkedah/kperlis <-> langkawi start from 8am till 6pm. every 30mins/1 hour sure got ferry services. dont hv to worry abt it...

3. went to the airport for free map as told by forumer..i cant find any until i went to the info counter n ask for it. she kept it inside her desk. sweat.gif no wonder i cant find it.

4. monkey at dayang bunting island is very friendly with plastic bag n drinks can! dont bother to bring this stuff! especially plastic bag. they will gang rape, erh i meant, snatch ur plastic bag.

5. frankly speaking, me n my friends r all malay. but we do feel langkawi people r not frendly. they hardly smile to us. so, to other races, if u think langkawi people r racist, think back again, they even racist to their own races.

in fact i do think, instead of racist, they r bias towards local people... sweat.gif

well, dats it i can rmmbr for now....

my trip were like this.

from lcct take flight to alor setar and fetch my friend there, go to jetty kuala perlis, take ferry to langkawi.
after several days, take ferry n go back to jetty kuala kedah, n take bus go back to kl.

ferry price:

k/perlis <-> langkawi = rm15
k/kedah <-> langkawi = rm18

(price might increase...u should know y if u watch the news)

taxi price from k/kedah to shahab bus station. rm15 if not mistaken.

once u got ur free map from airport, make sure u noe how to read it. then after that enjoy! dont worry if u lost...just make sure u car tank got fuel. langkawi's road is connected with each other... smile.gif

there's one funny things happen when me n my frens were at tasik dayang bunting. at least, i think its funny.

my fren bought a drink can at tasik dayang bunting. she realise she were surrounded by monkey who eyeing her drinks. she finish it asap n throw it into the dustbin.

the monkey piss off, of cos...

since the monkey didnt know how to show the international/middle fingers, they did this infront of her:

gross picture....tq

they wont be any extra room, if there really is, then it is goona be super peak season, means the hotels will be very expensive. If you just wanted to go Langkawi for normal trips and not watching the LIMA i suggest you go after that.
BTW, the lima exhibition is very2 noisy, watch once before. Ya, interesting as well.
