for car rental must rent by day a?

I means, if I wanna go 2D1N. Let's said I arrive around 10am, if I rent for 1 days, I need to return it by 10am next morning right? What if I wanna return it around 4pm? does it count as 2 days or 1 1/2 days?

Never rent a car before...

If you're goin by ferry, which means, you'll arrive at ferry(kuah) terminal first, then its ok. Cause, the guys who rent cars there dont really mind much if youre late by a few hours. The going rate for off peak season is.. RM 50 - 70 per day. Depending on what cars la... usually for the cheap rate like that, you'll get the protons.. ISWARA's...

One tip, keep on walking.. dont bother with the guys who will try and... ask you to rent their cars from CAR RENTALS counter.. go to those.. who's a bit shady looking.. hehe.. usually they give better rate's. Once got one satria for RM 40 per day.

Follow the tips from jojo.. biggrin.gif No particular car rental co...All almost the same....All depending on your bargaining power..& the most important is to check the condition & test drive along the area. If not happy can change to another car.

Hi everyone, I have a question here.

The 10 of us plan to go Langkawi end of November. I did some research regarding the apartment available in Langkawi. These are the choices

1. Kondo Istana
2. Century Suria Service Apartment
3. Sri Lagenda Resort Apartment

All these apartment are located in Kuah town (if im not mistaken). Out of these 3 apartment, which is the best? Plz give me your opinion. Thanks

stayed in kondo istana before. more like service apartment; with 3 rooms and kitchen. nothing much to talk about. no cable tv.
the cafe's food sucks. the swimming pool is unusable. green algae somewhere..... doh.gif but who cares, a day diving trip to pulau payar served us better thumbup.gif after all, we only sleep there at night.

rented a car somewhere in the airport terminal, nissan serena at 300bucks for 2 days and 3 nights(5 pax). better be careful they sometimes hand over the car keys with the oil warning light ON. it happened to me and gosh! lucky i managed to find the nearest petrol station just in time! whistling.gif
arghh! gotta rush to gym. will share more of my langkawi trip soon. cool2.gif

Got car ferry service from penang to langkawi. I think very limited times and days but dont have to wait 2 days. Same day can reach. Not sure how popular the service is and not sure where to check. I heard cos my penang friends have done it before.

Rent a car lah. Each day of rental is about the same as each one way trip for your own car. If anything happens to your own car there, its longer term trouble for you and your trip. If rental car, the insurance and car owner will take care of it, and you'll probably get a replacement car too. No need to also think of things like cleaning up beach sand from yuour car after the trip.
