my frend recommended me langkasuka, there is a nice package going on.. hows the beach there?

I m still contemplating between tht beach and pantai cenang which is more happening, so says some guide..
*
Langkasuka Hotel is ok (for a 4 star... I prefer Awana Porto Malai which is 3 star).... but the beach sux.

QUOTE(stormyz @ Sep 6 2007, 08:33 AM)

Langkasuka is like deserted and really need to drive even to find food stall around it..
Nearest is drive to cenang..
The beach in langkasuka is not suitable for swimming because it is muddy and the sea is contain in a water breaker..
So cenang definitely have the better beach but you wont find rooms with the facilities and price like langkasuka in cenang..

Thats why its cheap.... anw, if its just a place to stay but you will like be out for the entire day, Langkasuka is not a bad deal, but, if you want convenience and nice stay.... Cenang/Tengah would be best. Otherwise, you may want to try out Burau Bay, Datai, Tg Rhu... okay.. okay.. I am dreaming.. Cenang, Tengah gets my thumbs up... feels so relaxing... loved it...

no ma.. giving my POV... kekekekeke...

Langkawi is good for shopping some sporting attire and chocolates.... and for the ladies cookware sets which they wont use..... so its a real waste of money...

but beaches, I thoroughly enjoyed Tg. Rhu, Pantai Beras Basah and Pantai Cenang. Wanted to take a dip at Burau Bay but the open beach isnt really appealing.

Yeah... la farge... but, the stretch of beach is amongst the best one can find in the main Langkawi Island. Would appreciate if ppl can share other beaches in the islands nearby besides Pulau Beras Basah... would love to go to other beaches there... may try Rebak Marina next time round for some secluded holidays away from hustle and bustle...

I believe the beach at Mutiara Burau Bay is nice, but the beach near Burau bay, the open beach isnt appealing at all.

Pulau Payar one looks reasonable.. (meals included?) but mangrove one I think can get better bargain from those operators at Tg. Rhu..

Hi everyone.
Me and my friends planning to go to Langkawi on next 2 weeks.
We r manage to take the AirAsia package,so could everyone recommend us a hotel that price is more economic, environment is Ok Ok,room r comfortable ?

because if we r picking the Awana Porto Malai (Garden View) as our hotel in the package, the price is about rm1139 for 4 persons,so we r looking for a hotel that cheaper than this. smile.gif

My friends say to decide only when we reach langkawi, as these packages can be available with bookings made with the resorts... and we get more freedom of choice if we decide later.. haha..
