1) u can try beach garden resort. is a budget hotel wif limited facilities. the price range is not cheap and not expansive. so i suggest this resort if you wan to stay. for staying satisfaction purposes. furthermore is next to beach. u can go to the beach anytime.

2) snorkelling ?? i think is better you spent your day walking down pantai cenang and grab the information there. i can tell you that if you wan do snorkelling, u can , but there is much more other interesting activities around. island hopping ?? if you worried about the price... u can check when you reach. all this information you needed is all over the place. is like they advertising it here and there. u can compare price there.

3) use plane !!!! trust me in this ... use plane !!!! is much more cheaper if you book now. is rm 69.90 or if u lucky is rm 29.90 one way. there's a high chances you can get the lowest rate price by air asia if you book now. seriously.. trust me in this.. dun freaking go use the bus.. coz very very very troublesome. i took 12 hours just to get back to KL ...

4) when u reach there.. there will b shop who rent car.. u can get a avanza at rm 130 + 50 deposit.. a kancil will cost rm 50 + 50 deposit and a wira is around rm 70 + 50 (deposit ) their kancil no power wan.. but u can drive it one circle of langkawi with just rm 15 .

5) dun worry .. u won't get lost in langkawi.. is just a circle .... is fun driving there.. no jam..

6) pantai cenang is a nice place to stay...indeed...

Thanx stormyz, i ll be keeping my options open.. so anyone with other good budget hotel plz do tell me..

anyway, stormyz, if i do not go snorkelling wat other attractions which will be interesting... wanna make sure my frens are well entertained.. and coz i also do not like last minute planning... need to tell them roughly wats the plan like and how much in all..

And for the plane, is tht price inclussive of tax? wat other surchages do i need to pay?

1) if you wan to do with sea then snorkelling is one of your option . u can go for island hopping . the tour guide will bring you from certain island to certain island to have a look at all the flora and fauna in the island. is a good experience. find a island hopping that go pulau daya bunting ( the name something like this ) this island got lake in the middle and is a very nice lake.. usually the price for a boat is not more than rm 200 . if you get the correct tour guide. they will count you by boat. some may count you by person. the price for a person i'm not that very sure. you can also hire boat and go to the middle of the sea to do some fishing if you want. if you hire a yacht , that will cause your around RM 2-3 k. budget onli can give you a boat.

2) yes.. the price of the plane is including everything. few months ago i go there by plane which cause me overall rm 69.90.
rm50 airport tax and rm 29.90 promotional price. you must book 2 months before you go onli u can get this price.

3) u can go to seven wells. it takes a lot of energy to climb the hill. but is a fun experience. if you wan to swim in waterfall, seven well there is a nearby waterfall near the entrance. it onli take around 10 minutes walk to get there. so you can bring your friends there. advisable go in the morning or before 6.40 u must leave the place d. this is because the public toilet got no electricity . if you lucky, u might c those , mat salleh sexy woman , bath in the waterfall together with you.
there got a lot of monkey ... u can take picture far far from there. they won't disturb u if u didn't disturb them.

4) kolam air panas. there is this place there got the hot water perigi. i forgot wat it call in english d. you can go there and have a look at this place. da onli thing you can't do is swimming inside this place. this because is just a perigi onli. the onli thing you can do here is take water and fill it inside a bucket and go and soak your leg inside. the water is hot. but they say gud for leg disease. buy your souvenior here. is the most cheapest souvenior in langkawi.

5) bring your friend to underwater world. around rm 39 or 29.. i also forgot bout this. underwater world is located in pantai cenang. inside got penguin and those funny sea creature lor.. beside there will b a duty free shop. u can buy your chocholate there.

6) bring your friend to langkawi cable car. located near seven well. this 15 minutes ride will let you see the whole langkawi. trust me.. is nice although is a short distance between point A and point B.

7) photosnap can be done in harbour park. this place is where all the ship harbour here. this place got a big petronas and a kfc . you can eat at the kfc while viewing the amazing view of this harbour.

8) pantai cenang got this chinese restaurant called orkid ria. go there and eat if you want. is seafood. trust me .. this place is awesome. go there as early as you can as you need to wait for table if u come late.

9) go to kuah town. all the item that you wan to buy can found there. duty free place. got 2 place for you to hang out. one is Billion located near the jetty. this place sells everything .. including alchoholic drinks. then u can go jetty point which sells chocholate and some normal item. bowling can be found here. search around this town area as there is shop lot that are main for tourist to be there ..

just got back..from langkawi(back on 30th august)......
horrible trip i must said due to the fact of rain season...rain rain rain...endlessly....went up the cable car.....see nothing at all...but one positive outcome is dman breezy:)...and freak me out when taking the cable car....due to the thick cloud(or mist).....scary....and the suspend bridge tutup too.....sigh....

and the 7 well....gosh....take heck lots of energy to climb up..and really killed me on spot...(sry im out of shape type).....but manage to climb to stage two of the 7 well....not bad...not bad.....and yeah....some mat salleh there...

and most important...shop and shop and shop around kuah town.....cant really recommend a shop which is the BEST place to buy stuff...i buy my choc from 5 different shop.....
(sorry too much time to wonder around kuah town...due to the rain...ruining the plan in langkawi...)

Yeah, i m looking forward to the adventure trips like trekking etc in langkawi.. but now i try to book the air ticket all of them show rm100++ not inclusive of tax..

air asia price different from time to time. so u must always check back. it can be expensive today and cheap tomorrow. but probably during that period of time is peak season, thats why is hard for you to get the best price. but just keep update with the price.

Plan your trip early in advance. Last I checked it was 29.99 + 40.00 for fuel surcharge etc... only 69.99/pax. Travel on off peak, (ie going there on wed/thur and returning on sun/mon will get you cheaper price. Anyway now its rainy season in Langkawi you will mostly be shopping for liquor and chocolates.. .

When AA have this promotion of free tickets... its only the surcharge that you pay. I normally just book the tickets way in advance and then plan my leave accordingly. I guess in that manner you get cheaper holidays... .

If you want to take Kancil, be very careful. The kancil that I rented was always overheat. Imagine every 10km have to stop at the roadside to fill up the radiator water, coz it was leaking. It even stalled at the roadside coz the engine can't start at the traffic light. Not to mentioned no power, only max 80km/h and drink petrol like water. Pump almost RM50 for 200km coverage.

unlucky for you dude.. haha. i rent the kancil very good.. rm 15 can go whole langkawi d... i never expected that.. but yea.. underpower.. sigh..

Well for my experience.....the car i rent is iswara aeroback.....not bad....the road at langkawi....very easy and wont get lost.....(but first gone there...i lost in somewhere in kuah....lost in kampung road).....overrall i enjoy the road there...but those old road along pantai cenang...tose road can drift(hair pin style)....all is DAMN SHARP corner....

im taking firefly to langkawi next month.. RM42.50 per head include airport tax..

I just came back from Langkawi, had a great time there. Pelangi Beach Resort was the first stop, nice rooms, excellent service and a very nice beach. The room however was a bit far, and the buggy service not so convenient.

Next stop was the Westin. We had the private villa which was amazing, a bungalow which could easily accomodate 12+ people, private pool, outdoor shower, massage area in the gazebo, aromatherapy in the rooms, the works. Too bad the beach was a disappointment so we ended up staying in the villa most of the time.

I had no problems with the car rental, took an Innova at the airport and was satisfied. Tourist spots weren't very crowded and fairly priced. Went to The Loaf and was a bit disappointed because there were barely enough seats, and the bread they sell isn't too different from what you get at Isetan. Didn't try the RM88 lunch either, too rich for my taste Overall a great stay, definitely recommended.

how much the innova cost per day?

They charged me RM550 for a bit more than 72 hours. Insurance included, minyak not included.
The car was relatively clean and very new, only around one month old.

Saw air asia doing great promos now..

They offered the Nissan Vanette for around RM300, but the Innova was bigger and far more comfortable for 8 adults and money wasn't an issue for me. We wanted an Alphard but apparently they don't bring Alphards to Langkawi. Weird...

Rm550 for 3 days.... quite value for money especially you are moving 8 adults at one go... .

I m still contemplating between tht beach and pantai cenang which is more happening, so says some guide..

stay in pantai cenang better... there at night can walk walk by the beach .. very nice...
