hey guys, me and my friends (10 ppl) will going langkawi this 30th(night), reach there 31/8 and will be back 2/9.

We will be staying at Century Suria near Kuah town.

So,

1. what is the rate of renting a car/van during peek?
2. which one is more advisable? renting a car or van?
3. where got nice + affordable foods to eat? (cuz our main objective is eat delicious and cheap food)

please tell me...thanks
*
10 of u? rent 2 cars la... smile.gif.

Rates should not defer much, RM45-RM50 per day for Wira Manual. Not worth renting a kancil.... smile.gif.

Kuah town has got loads of eateries. Langkawi's food isnt exactly superb.. its just passable... Langkawi Mall's western sidewalk cafe's food is decently nice and reasonable. Pasta meal or chicken chop about RM10/meal. Rootian... well... passable a bit on the high side but not as expensive as the restaurants at Tengah/Cenang.

Perdana? Can seat 6 adults ma.. smile.gif. If you dont mind squeezing, Civic, Sentra quite decent liao... smile.gif.

Island hopping they are pretty standard. From Cenang/Tengah/Kuah.. its the same islands... see eagles, dayang bunting and beras basah or other beach islands.

You go to tg rhu, they have different itinery, bat cave, swamp tour... I think I will try this next trip I go there.. smile.gif.

What banana boat?

72 hours for liquor and ciggie... but I guess they are lenient.. at airport, the customs just ask me.. ada arak? I say... ada... then he ask, bila masuk langkawi.. I say ahh.. 4 hari 3 malam.. he say, "Wokay.. JALAN.." He did not ask for my arrival tix.. so if only chocs.. no problem one.. smile.gif. Get their after 8 or fazer mint choc... nice and cheap.. smile.gif. I am a sucker for mint based chocs.. smile.gif.

hey guys, will be planning a trip to lgk sometime soon, and i have decided on the hotel.

Best Star Resort, but before i make my deposit, there are a few question i need to ask.

1) Is the hotel clean, and alright to stay in?

2) Issit worth the money i am paying i.e RM 120 for a family room of 4?

3) And does the family room come with a minicar(fridge) as fas as i know, the suite does, because i think the minibar is kinda important to store chocs and drinks.

Haha, yeah that's it.

Thanks people.

Island hopping cost RM30-RM45/head.

Different sites offers different island pleasures. If you take fr. Cenang/Tengah like what I did, it takes you to Dayang Bunting, Beras Basah, Singa Besar.

If you take from Tg Rhu, they have different thiggy.. visit to bat cave, swamp excursion etc. Sounds interesting I will do it next round.

Langgura... no idea.

1. Budget hotel in pantai cenang, anyone has any recommendation through personal experience? I was thinking of langgura or best star, which according to the picture looks nice..

2. Activities to do, it ll be a 3d 2n thing, so i was thinking snorkelling, but the price posted is rm130, issit this expensive?

3. Getting there, wat is the best method to get there if i m not driving? i m going in a group of 13 - 15 btw.. some options i thought of was train, charter bus and plane..

Thanx in advance for the reply.. thank you thank you
