You bought the nike at which shop and are they really cheaper than KL ones?

Bought them at Kuah town along Rootian, two shop lot with Nike and Adidas signage outside. Yup, checked mine, KL selling 275/-. I got mine for 225/-. Further down the road there is Al-Ikhsan, but my weary legs wont walk anymore.. sigh...

FYI, me too just come back from langkawi on 30/7. I took 3d2n package from agent in KL Matta (but quite regret it).

but me too owed so much from this langkawi thread, its been 12 yrs since i've been there. But the half-day shower hampered my itenary on sunday 29/7, have to cancel the island hopping coz the rain and going to the cable car instead after the rain stop.

about shopping not much to shop except i found some Columbia pants and shoe bargain at Jetty point in Kuah, it offer up to 50% less on Selected columbia attire.others i just bought the ciggie and chocs only.

Must come back again to langkawi next year (
this time will tak 4d3n), the target is Kilim mangrove tour and some jungle trekking, must i must say that Gunung matchincang is really marvellous..

To ur q, I booked Awana through my friend who works in Genting. Got sort of 10% off the online rates from Genting and with brekkie thrown in, I guess it was worth it. I never go holiday with tour package. You wait for others most of the time. I'd rather go free and easy and do the things I want to do and when I want to do, so its all DIY.

Island hopping was pretty fun but I would be happier if they allow us at least 2 hours on the beach at Pulau Beras Basah, but the boatman was kinda generous, the whole boatload told him we wanted 1.5 hours instead and he said ok.. in the end it was about 2 hours all in all... .

Local holidays we tend to spend more coz knowing well that we have spent much lesser on transportation but ended up spending above the budgeted amount... all in all 2adults 2kids, we spent a grand total of RM4217.90... phew... from home round back to home. Its the most satisfying holiday for us since our Bangkok trip 3 years ago.

I guess, when we go on holidays, $$$ issue should be the furthest from your thoughts. Its the need to have a good time... 3 years ago, me and my wife in BKK cost less than 3k, but nothing much to show when we get back... this time round we have loads! loads! to show... LOL.. Could be a psychological thinggy too.. being overseas and local ... although we have a healthy budget for the trip we just refuse to indulge.. this time round, its just "I WANNA HAVE FUN"

The satisfaction is getting to spend without having to worry that we may not have enough later, although its always good to have a budget and to really really have a good time, have a BIG budget.. . Its not that you spend lavishly, it only means that you think that thing is fun, just do it! You need not worry if its too expensive or you may not have enough. JUST DO IT.

This location is actually Pulau Songsong closer to mainland (As indicated in malsingmaps). Pulau Payar is further North closer to Langkawi & shape like a parang or just a long island & far from mainland...so my coordinate should be correct... ..too bad malsingmaps too din indicate the island as Payar.....and since it is not visible in GE, someone go and indicate Song-song Island as Pulau Payar & Pulau Bidan in wikimapia..Even the pulau kaca which should be side by side wth Pulau Payar was noted close to Song-song & Pulau Telur too wrongly indicated in wikimapia
