Thanks stimix and Dark Kai. At least now if I'm told to leave the key in the car, then I'm not shocked or nervous.

But then if I pay a deposit, then definitely I need to return the car properly and get back my deposit, right?

Hi folks,

Just back from LGK on last Weds. This time stayed at Mutiara BB. Not bad for the Studio cabana (burau gw package), only feel its not enuff time although spent 4d3n there.

but feel disappointed coz cannot go for Matchincang jungle trekking due to not enuff participant (min 2 person). so just laid back at BB on the beach and sometimes going out to circle the island, most of the place is already been visited for the past 2 years.

This time also i rent Sentra and managed to get RM60 for the rest of the stay, not bad. but the food at Chenang Hj Jelani and Hj Ramli is not what i expect..:-( poorly prepared tomyam and grilled stingray..

anyway, nxt week maybe looking ahead for extended stay..maybe 5 or 6 day there..:-)

Hello! Going Langkawi next month. Planning to stay in AB motel since we won't be in the room most of the time. Might as well save for accommodation. I have a question though. Let's say if i rent the car from the airport. So the next day I will have to bring the car back to the airport? Sit taxi back to hotel then? Thanks!!

Anyone heard of Perdana Beach Resort in Langkawi? any feedback? because i'm planning to book this apartment (2room) on december
http://www.leisureholidays.com.my/resort/i...-resorts-pb.htm

The person offer me rm250 for 3 night.
very cheap. that's why i'm abit curious about this apartment.
And also is there any other budget apartment around langkawi except for century suria? planning for 4d 3n vacation.
I also planning to visit Pulau Payar, anyone visit there or have somebody contact number for cheaper package?

If you're going to stay in Pantai Cenang, go for Malibest resort, it's on the beach itself. I usually stay at the treetop chalet but that one gets booked up all the time since they only have like 5 of it. Otherwise you can opt for their chalets.

You can check out their site here

I dunno much about Chinese preparing seafood because most of them are non halal. What I know are :-

- Barn Thai (Expensive+great ambience+great food)
- Hj Jelani/Ramli (Cheap + Sometimes ok, sometimes not)
- Floating Restaurant (Normal price + Nice experience +good food)
- Wonderland (Cheap+Good food)
- Mare Blu (Italian Food + Great steak +Expensive)
- Rootian Seafood (Cheap+good food)

Orchid Ria Seafood Restaurant. Try the lobster and tiger prawns there, the price and food is ok, when i visit Langkawi every night i go there for dinner, and every meal also lobster and tiger prawns.

well it depends on what kinda accommodation you wan. i stay there before and it near airport. Yes is look, dull and boring but at least is cheap and i have a gang of ppl staying so we cannot afford nice and expensive apartment there. hhehe drool.gif

Btw, most of the time we are not staying in the apartment.. We check in, get bath and go out until late at night and buy a lot of liquid and get drunk then check out tomorrow. shakehead.gif
