2013. The suspension response are too good that every single road patching can be feel. Or I should say it kinda roll.
*
mine is 2013 model...bad road surface yes really unpleasent feeling in car but body roll during corner not so obvious...if corner high speed still ok...if corner speed 140kmh that something else...that can be corrected by a few bars from ultra racing...

u still using stock filters? bro .. u not newbie la .. u veteran modders seeing from your previous ride.
u should install mushroom head already why go for drop in? haha!  thumbup.gif
*
damn...blew my identity there...yeah ur right...by now should upgrade the car like my honda..but still want to achieve that 40mpg...anyway already have a tight budget.....really2 tight one...

if want to mod cars like elantra turbo is the way...coz if stick to NA i think honda like b series and k series got alot of toyol in the market....hyundai???? i dont think so...so want to make power turbo is the only way...

but if go turbo i doubt can get good fc...if like honda if u modd gile2 still can get reasonable FC...

but one day i will go for turbo if there is a good kit around...speedworks yes they have the turbo kit but for tuning wise im sure there still at learning stage...

Yup, I heard that they (speedworks) already brought (or available on order) for put in turbo for our car.
Went to one of the accessory shop at SS2 (u might know the shop at taman bahagia) and he told me it's available.
Power with good FC is always a dream but like u said reasonable is acceptable.
The only way for our car to gain more is by adding in the turbo for now.  wink.gif
So wanna mod your exhaust and remap bro? This two alone i think can get you close to 10HP on wheel (i think)
But after installing turbo kit and all we need to have better breaking system or else we all know what's gonna happen  sweat.gif

Update me with your mod bro  drool.gif sharing is caring ma  thumbup.gif
*
yup exhaust and remap is one way to increase hp but not that much like turbo....its better go all out with turbo...now thats more satisfying...u see our gearbox is tuned not for high revs...so good for turbo...power at low revs...na need high rev to get the power...

if u want to modd the engine, just modd it once. if turbo, go only for turbo. if NA, NA. coz if u always upgrade it u must know where r u heading...if not ur just wasting ur money n time....

trust me after upgrade exhaust and everthing at the end sure u want a turbo...

for performance this what i get
1. potent booster
2. works engineering drop in filter
3. petrocanada engine oil
4. petron ron95

this already can unleash true potential of your car. can feel the difference...without this there is no fun in drivng....

Install 1st item into 1.8 can increase how much newton?
*
ok..for 1.8 there was an increase in hp and torque. but not that much. so feeling wise, u will feel the car pull strong at standstill, but if ur already in higher gear like 140kmh and want to accelerate more, you won't get that...even with potent booster. but from 0 to 140kmh yes u can feel the pull of the torque...so its more fun to drive compare with the std one...

power u can't go far from this simple upgrade but fun factor wise u can feel it. it makes ur dull journey to a sportier ride.

if you ask for figures, that need a major upgrade like turbo kit. so for time being(5 yrs) why not just upgrade this as you also can save fuel (if u change ur driving style).

I always sprint 120 to 150 every mroning to work....(hway of course) with ease.

Some of the TT happening last week ... Yes, we have plenty of events lining up for members to come out and discuss on their rides and mods and even problem solving sessions. I think it's best to come out and judge for yourself what mods questions you have in mind and ask the owners who had modded the same thing (i.e auto fold, DRL, body kits, K&N, Iridiums etc etc) yourself. No need to listen to workshop words alone, but feedback from real owners and drivers.

This is one of the largest TT for the southern region with around 14 cars that night.

And this is the FF6 Movie cum Dinner TT held last week at Setia Alam. Previously it was IM3 at Paradigm.  thumbup.gif
We have 30 over people that turned up (around 16 cars) that day. Trust me when I say it's hard to find a parking space spacious enough for us during dinner time.  sweat.gif

after a while driving the elantra, really miss the feel of torque from my previous car...coz elantra even 1.8 can't feel the torque. thats why some owner planning to change the exhaust system. that will increase some hp if do it the right way.
driving feel is really boring...after 5 yrs warranty, i definitly will try to get turbo kit if have the enough funds coz BOT from speedworks is quite expensive. tuning alone cost you rm1000. thats insane...but their package for vios, city is quite impressive. lets see them after 5 yrs..

yes potent really can make the car more alive, but since im used to vtec(all the way to 9k rpm) really miss that torque feel.
BOT in the other hand, like speedwork wont touch your engine internals coz the BOT meant for minor upgrade. major upgrade with BOT is like Bisimoto did for elantra GT with 1.8 NU engine and get 600hp!now thats monster upgrade i could say...

Yup, that is why too much power will also kill the gearbox like u mentioned.
600HP is too much for our stock transmission  sweat.gif

So other than performance mods, what had u done to your ride bro?
Bodykit? DRL? Rims? ICE?  share share la  thumbup.gif
*
since i already used up all my funds to my previous car honda civic b18c, so my upgrade is limited only potent and works engineering filter. now im saving my funds to get the BOT(after 5 yrs). cosmetic none. coz feel not value for money coz other owners already done it.cosmetic is for show offs but yes its a satisfaction to some owners but not me. i'm into performance.

hyundai don't have engine tuners like skunk2 for honda...(best high cams) so upgrading is all dead. so only choice is BOT. if hyundai decided to bring its turbo engine to Malaysia well i guess just buy a new car instead of BOT.

[/quot

if the engine 2.0 turbo then the price must below rm200k. coz vw and ford are at this range price. but honda seems rileks put rm200k for na type r... brows.gif
