explain how you felt your pads are lousy?

carbon or alloy wheels? cartridge refills?

i used before swiss stop manufactured for sram ones, koolstop all weather ones, jagwire (el-cheapo) ones and i sometimes wonder why i spend so much on the more expensive pads..

the modulation might be better on the more expensive pads and some offer extra bite which my tires (especially the rear) might not have the grip to hold it in the first place and ends up locking the wheel up...

the other good thing about expensive pads might be their capabilities in the wet... that, i don't care too much about since i don't ride in the rain much...

im using alloy wheels but the bite doesnt seem enough even on dry, cant imagine on wet days. I'm not asking for vbrake braking power which may send me flying. But enough braking without exerting too much force from the hood.

Not sure if this is posted here before... But very interesting stuff and claim from this new carbon clincher

Mavic Cosmic carbone clincher

Its being a while i did not cycle (around 2months plus) I am planning to ride tomoro. Should i start riding at a lower intensity/pace then what i did the last time i rode? Apparently after i read on other forum that my body need time to adapt to cycling motion after 2 mths did not cycle sad.gif

Yeah, try ride at a slower pace but try do higher cadence on a light gear. Like they say, spin to win.

i think shimano pads won't give you much satisfaction... try looking outside of shimano... swiss stop is the next best bet... a tad soft for my liking as it wears out quite quickly...

i personally like the koolstop all weather i previously used.. it has dual compounds and the tail portion is slightly anchored in to prevent juddering and pad screech..not bad in the wet weather and absolutely acceptable braking performance in the dry...

so, you've bought your bike i presume??? the FP Team?
