QUOTE(kadajawi @ Feb 20 2016, 09:13 PM) I don't think so. Pentax is the brand name for their serious cameras. Ricoh is more for the... more experimental, and consumer oriented cameras somehow? IMHO the people at Pentax seem slow, very traditional in their thinking, not taking feedback from outside, and not even hiring people to find out what people want. They themselves are photographers, so they think they know exactly what photographers want. Which is sort of true for the kind of photography they do, that's why the cameras are pretty good and well thought out. But I think they are hobbyists. Doing the kind of photography people enjoy as a hobby. They don't work as interior photographers for example. They don't work as videographers. Olympus is taking feedback from professionals. Canon probably does. Or Nikon. Leica clearly does. I'd already be happy if Pentax took their final hardware to working professionals, and said... here, try it. Let us know what we can do to make your life easier. What do you want to see in the camera? Any improvements? And then they get the feedback, and try to implement it in the firmware (where it makes sense and is possible, of course). this is why i go this...... QUOTE(craxors @ Feb 18 2016, 08:33 AM) i dont know to go or or or or all waiting for pentax 1st FF.... the excitement is there... . . . the excitement lost in the middle.. which i dont know where.

QUOTE(wuwah @ Mar 8 2016, 05:19 PM) Help! Is this fungus can't seem to smudge it away it blackens half of my picture frame at certain setting Looks like fungus... try shining light through the other end of lens for better idea of what is it. http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/flashlight-test.htmSlow down the fungus growth place the lens in sunlight for a couple of hours. Hopefully nothing serious like element separation, happened to me once and the lens is totally wrecked. Once it's confirmed fungus, get a quote from shashinki or local camera shop if the lens is worth saving. This post has been edited by aaronpang: Mar 14 2016, 01:24 PM

QUOTE(Patent @ Apr 29 2016, 11:57 PM) Pentax K-1 is now up for pre-order here. Also review of the camera https://www.ephotozine.com/article/pentax-k...rt-review-28884What do you guys think? I think at this price point, for a newcamera with 36mp is unbeatable even after converting to our toilet paper worth MYR. But if don't mind used, then I guess is still a tough choice choosing between the A7R, D800e or even a D810. And if you don't need the 36mp, then I guess is even more difficult to choose between the K-1 or the D750, D3, A7s or a 5D3. Which probably have a better AF tracking system and video. I guess it only appeals to loyal Pentaxian who wish to upgrade to FF. And I guess is a perfect camera for studio use. Just my 0.6 cents worth. Cheers.....
