Is the TTL system very important in flash?
How hard is it in handling manual flash?

Which one is better as kit lens replacement?

Tamrom 17-50 2.8
Sigma 17-70 2.8-4

QUOTE(Icehart @ Apr 22 2013, 08:45 PM)
Depends on your shooting preference. Do you shoot in low light often? What is your most used focal length?
By the way, maybe you want to have a look at Sigma's 17-50. I find Tamron's build quality poor. Used for 2-3 years and the rubber for the zoom mechanism came off.

IMO, one stop difference in the aperture doesn't really matter.
Sigma has longer reach but the Tamron has better image quality I think.

I'm also considering Pentax 16-45 F4 but dunno where to find.. sweat.gif

I don't see the point of releasing it though. Just like a rebranded K-30 with minor improvement. Maybe it's supposed to be K-30ii? laugh.gif

The K-50 isn't really smaller than K-30. The size is about the same.

K-30: 130 x 97 x 71 mm
K-50: 129 × 96.5 × 70 mm

The only new thing here is probably the DA L kit lens with weather sealing.

I guess its time to replace my K-r with K-500 then. hmm.gif

Or maybe just buy the K-30. Pretty sure the price will go down now. hmm.gif

I dont think we only need expensive lenses for use with our dslr. as we can see from the list, the most worthy lenses are those like 16-45 and the 50 1.8. i have tested 50 1.8 before and im definitely impressed.if it is priced more or less like canikon, im definitely getting it.

btw, some news about pentax lenses

http://photorumors.com/2013/08/27/pentax-t...ular-apertures/

instead of coming up with new lenses, they come up with new coatings. but theres still hope for new lenses though.

I personally like the green ring more laugh.gif

Red ring look canon-ish.

Still good to see they are upgrading the current lenses.

i think its very expensive and i dont need or even use flash that requires weather sealed quite often.so i might just give it a pass.

I agree the price is very expensive though the feature seems very neat.
