I kinda like the shutter sound on the K-30. It makes it sound like a full frame. K-5 really too quiet. Haha.....  nod.gif

You haven't heard the *istDS then. *kalonk* biggrin.gif When I tried the K-30 I thought... oh, how quiet. Of course then I tried the K-5 and thought... huh? Battery flat? When I took a group photo with the *istDS everyone knew when the photo was taken. With the K-5 no one notices. thumbup.gif I love how quiet it is.

Maybe the K-50 improves ergonomy? I thought the K-30, while great looking, may not be as ergonomic as I'd like it to be. My *istDS was nicer to hold. The K-5 is much better than the K-30, though it might not be as good as the *istDS.

Had an interior shoot today... and tried composition adjustment for the first time. My god is it awesome! rclxm9.gif I'm loving it. thumbup.gif Pretty useful.

Haha....

My good old K100D shutter sounds like closing a volvo 244 bonnet.

Felt like every time you press the shutter button, there is a massive accident inside the camera itself.

Yup. A bit too quiet for me. I prefer car with huge exhaust. But time will tell when you wish your shutter is as quiet as the K-5.

Muahaa....

When I wished I had a K-5? I was at university, some opening ceremony thing for us foreign students, and took a photo. The next 3 or 4 rows in front of me turned around...

The sound of the *istDS is cool... but not exactly useful. Try doing street photography with that thing...

Aaaaaaah. An entry level Pentax! That's good. Replacement for the K-30... that's a bit sad, the K-30 was much more sexy. But perhaps the K-50 is nicer to hold. Q7... I'd like one... but Audi Q7. But actually, that's what we hoped for, right? The image circle was bigger than the sensor they used so far... and now, finally, they use a proper sensor. Well, at least a better one.

The new WR lens is cheaper lah. Meant for the K-50, while the other WR lens is of higher (build) quality and will remain for the K-5.

Or maybe just buy the K-30. Pretty sure the price will go down now. hmm.gif

Are you guys ordering lenses from the US?

Anyway, does anyone know how much I'll have to spend on the Tamron 10-24? I'm considering it... have an offer for RM 1150 for a second hand one (barely used), but not sure if I'll take it. Hm. Maybe can bargain a bit...

Buying lens from US is only worth it when they have cybersale / Black Friday sale. At current prices charged by adorama and bhphotovideo it's not worth the shipping fees as added total cost will be about 100-200 cheaper than local prices (less the warranty).

Btw, the 1150 is a good deal for me.

I see. Yeah, I thought it was quite expensive.

What's the normal price of that lens in Malaysia? I think on pentax2u I saw something like 2000... which is ridiculous. In Germany I'd spend 1400 on a brand new one... problem is I'm not sure if I need it (if I do more jobs it'll basically pay for itself), but I'm not sure I will, and if I won't there's not so much need for it. Though I guess I could sell it at a good (higher? biggrin.gif ) price to you guys? laugh.gif I'd have to buy it soon, since my mother is currently in Europe...

Just found this one:
