Be it the long-tail type ( like in picture ? ) or the green type turtle ( RES ) CHOOSE wisely
- actively moving around ( observe for a while , ask shop to feed them )
- digits,tail all intact
- nothing extra on shell ( discoloration on shell )

Start with a healthy one and all else are easier !!

Cheers

Yea, it was something like the turtle picture you posted. Will it get very big? I'm just afraid it might get too big later then i would have to find place for a bigger tank. but anyway thank you so much for your advice. So glad to have you in this thread.

These are usually sourced from North - Hong Kong , Taiwan or China ( native to their side ) and are commercial sp ( both for food and pets ) BUT are seasonal thus only available for few months a year on our shore !!

When out of season they seems rare thats why !!

Oh I see. The potential size that can be achieve by this species is too magnificient!

I don't think as a average/normal fan of tortoise like me afford to pet this species, because I don't know if my son and grandsons have the same interest toward this animal or not laugh.gif 200 years of lifespan wor, about 3-4 generation.
