Hi guys,

My temperature sensor jahanam last night. My car now at Balakong SC. Monday baru cerita..

Symtoms: Last 2 - 3 week, the temperature gauge swaying between 0 - 90 degrees. It only stable after I drove about 5 to 6km. I mentioned the problem to service adviser when I did my 30K service but they did't do anything. Maybe the problem not too serious that time. However, he did mentioned that they are getting more cases like this recently. So guys, beware...

i m contemplating buying a 408 NA too ...
after going through quite some threads here
it seems NA has less problem then Turbo
would be pleased if u can update me from time to time about the performance of NA

yesterday chat with my customer, which drove his 408T around 6months +, so far no issue on his car, and he said FC is damn good on highway, u guys have any issue on fc ?

Brought it to the Glen SC where I bought the car. Arranged for a technician to check and I told him we can take a spin to demonstrate the sound but once he jumped into the car, we did a static test ie turning the steering with the car parked. From there we can detect a faint noise so he suggested to take straight into workshop and check.

Barely 20 mins later he came back and explained that he checked for the parts and unfortunately had to order and will reschedule appointment when the parts arrive.

Made an official complaint on Peugeot careline today and requested for a letter to confirm that all warranty is in order and warrant also that there will be no defects in the car subsequent to the dismantling of the parts for the steering rack to be replaced.

hmm.....not sure how my cust drove his car, but he said driving 110-120 on highway, full tank can go from shahalam - johor - singapore - johor - melaka - shahalam. Petrol light still havent light-on 

I can get roughly 7l/100km on Highway for 100kph. Usually need to drive with cruise control,  else my right foot is always out of control.

Well, Yokohama is replaced by Delco

Sometimes when come to think about it, good to have the 5years warranty. *touchwood*

PSA has been on top of that chart since 2 years ago, beating Toyota and others with Volvo & Renault recently joining the league ......all 4 surpassing BMW, Fiat , Ford, GM, VW, Daimler, Hyundai, Nissan, Suzuki, Mazda, Honda whom are mostly scampering to meet their targets

PSA on Top is a rare thing so deserve more praise

Nasim to double capex to RM40mil next year

Nasim Sdn Bhd, a member of the Naza Group of Companies, which is the exclusive distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, plans to inject around RM40 million for the assembly of new models and new outlets in 2014 – double the amount it will spend this year.

"There will be some exciting lineup coming to our shores next year. I can't reveal the names of the new models, but we will introduce two sports utility vehicles (SUV), one multipurpose vehicle (MPV) and a passenger car," he told SunBiz in an interview.

or are you looking at Mazda & Honda (both shared top 3 spot) as your next ride? Curious...

Driving experience and feel comes first. Everything else eg service is nullified. Lol

You're right there bro. Initially I don't mind about sub-standard service by peugeot. I just love the low end muscle and enjoy it every time I had a chance. But when my temp sensor malfunctioned recently, I started to feel the pain. I collected my car on 13th Sept from Balakong SC without any repair done. Was told that I have to wait for 1 month for the part to arrive from France. I tried my luck and call a few SCs if they have the part. I got 'luckly' when Glenmarie SC responded that they have the part. The guy that I talked to even run through my chasis number to verify the type of 'outlet tank'. He said 408 got 3 types of 'outlet tank'. He asked me to come on Wednesday (today) and proceed to see him. So, I took leave and reached at the SC around 9.15am. To my suprise, the guy that I'm suppose to meet is not working today. My name also not in the appointment list and no one knows about my issues. I cannot verify my case since no one seems to know his mobile no. So, I just left the SC before I do something stupid.

I called careline and told my story as a last resort before I surrender and wait for another 3 weeks for the part to arrive. An  hour later, I received call from careline and informed me that the part has 'arrived' at Balakong SC. They set my appointment on this Friday to replace the part.

I'm quite relief but the whole episode has given me a new thought on this brand. I'm not sure now how long I will keep this car..
