Good news!!! I managed to claim a new car battery, Delkor DIN 60, 2 days ago during 20K service. The Yokohama battery reading was weak. The Delkor costs Rm455 per unit. Lucky me... phew~~~~   

Today, i experience 1st sign of problem to my lion. When downshifting gear, i can hear whistling sound. When i put the gear to N, while yhe car is slowing, different whistling sound can be heard. Btw, i'm on 2.0na. Any idea whats the cause for this? My car is just 2 months and the mileage ia 7500km and already booked for 10k svc at glenmarie on 2nd july.

The sound comes can be heard during normal auto mode. Can i just go to the sc and ask them to check ?

AND my fuel cap tak boleh bukak even after a few time taking it to the sc for repair. And now, once in a while, the fuel cap has a mind of its own to suka2 buka easily or i have to use a card to pry it open...

you know what, i never thought of that... also perhaps i am tired of complaining... its like talking to kayu...

GM was in control of SAAB before. That was when I was still with SAAB/Porsche Malaysia. This is the modus operandi. They took technology from SAAB (which they owned then), shared with the other brands in their stable, while at the same time starving SAAB of development money. When it came to the time to let SAAB go because it was simply too low on funds, they made sure that the company did not go to a company that had the funds to rejuvenate the brand. At least not for the next 10 years. Why? To protect Opel. Less one competitor is always better. Opel is doing badly as well but it has a longer history with GM and produces cars that were slightly less off-beat compared to SAAB. This means easier to market products... then. But even so, the domestic market in Germany fell. VW went great guns etc. There was simply no room for Opel to manoeuvre and they need a fix fast - technologies, expertise that they can buy up on the cheap. well, cheaper is always better. So, GM is probably thinking now, let's do the same with Peugeot. The connection with the Germany is this, BMW designs and Peugeot builds the engines. Then the engines are equally shared. The benefit to GM here is, they will have a stronger network, at least in France where Opel will be able to penetrate deeper. Plus, technology that indirectly came from BMW. This technology buy over and immediate network expansion is of course to be shared between its stable of brands. Once they have had enough of raiding the company and what's left of it, there is a high chance they will let PSA go... to the weakest bidder. Simply because PSA must not come back one day to be a threat to them. Peugeot did offer DongFeng to buy into the company but the Chinese company is holding back. Simple really, to drive PSA into a more desperate situation. Likewise GM. Waiting like vultures, who will not take anything as long as there is still life to fight in PSA. Once half dead, then GM will probably offer peanuts to buy it over. if GM takes over, they have access to DongFeng's plants and network in China. They already have a strong Buick business there but it will be much better to expand when the sun shines. So, it doesn't really look good to me considering the factors that surround the whole situation. I guess this is just my 2 cent's worth on the issue after seeing what they did to SAAB a short while back. In fact, the lawsuits are still not over between GM and SAAB. But it will probably be a long drawn affair before there is any decision.

well, hopefully they have an arrangement like fiat/chrysler to push peugeot in the states. then with bigger economies of scale they can really lower costs like what VW and other european brands are doing. Peugeot imho, it too euro centric. their current push into asean and just announced, china may be a little late considering that the VW group has been there for ages. even ford has a strong presence in china as i saw a lot more focus than 408 in beijing recently.

i also agree with you on canada. weird isn't it? predominantly french but no peugeot. even my relatives staying there say it is strange that there is no peugeot in canada.

but the fear is always there that there will one day be just raided for tech and left for dead.
