When I took delivery of my 408 Turbo last night, I had a long chat with the Peugeot Blue
Box Manager (Batu Pahat) over dinner and received lots of tips from him regarding the
handling, management and use of the new 408 Turbo. I will be enjoying the 5 years warranty
and 5 years free service.
I pointed out to him about this 408 group here and asked him to let Nassim know about. Informed him
that they should spend a little of time to look at our group and the postings and try to improve
on the after sales service and also learn of the shortcomings of the car from our members (all 408 owners)
and try to improve and prevent similar problems cropping up in all future cars they are producing. I told
him that there were quite a lot of complaints from their car owners of poor quality of service by Nassim and
that had prevented some of potential customers from buying their cars. Besides that I also mentioned about
relatively poor resale value of their cars. He was quite receptive and promised to look closer into these
and try to improve. He felt that the resale value will gradually improve as their reputation improves. He
also told me that Naza (Nassim) is also trying very hard to improve and extent their services. They have
many new branches opened and invested a lot in them. I am confident that they will gradually improve over
the years. Peugeot had been around in Malaysia for a long, long time. I remember my dad had a Peugeot 404
in the early 1970s and my brother in law had a Peugeot 304 in the late 1970s. Even in those days they had
been known to be nice and very confortable cars but the services and follow up had not been too good.

I also took a test drive of the newly launched Peugeot 208 (Europe's Supermini Car of the Year)
A nice & attractive little Supermini car especially the 3 door version with Panoramic
roof. Cost about RM96.000, which is a little expensive for a Supermini Car (one of the
more expensive car in that range). So far, the reviews, write-ups & test drives for
this car had been very good and it has got a 5-Stars safety rating (six airbags, ESP etc)
My wife, who is driving a Hyundai Accent also likes the car a lot. So I placed an
order for this beauty for her - a Virtual Blue 3-door Peugeot 208 with a 17 alloy
wheel and a lovely Panoramic roof.
