hi, goog  morning every1.
hav got my new 408t last month, but cant start on this morning.
had contact careline and wait for them to come. just drove ard 1900km. i thought my lion felt sleepy today.

100% battery konk issue, confirmed. I cannot understand why Nasim has no sense to just do away the old battery in stocks, and replace with new one when the car leaves Gurun assembly line. Doing this--- sending toll truck every where FOC to consumer to change battery is not very smart way of managing cost. What more when it gives them the worse image on already bad one doh.gif

Finally did my 10k service at Puchong SC. No need to pay anything because my Lion comes with 5 yrs free service (or 100k km, equivalent to 10 times service). They fixed the rattling noise at the driver side door. However still waiting for a part to replace for the driver side door hinge. I reported there was clacking noise while I open the door to the max position. They found the error but got to wait for the part. OK, I will wait to see.

Requested to use the Total Engine Oil but I got to pay RM393 for the oil itself. They said NO TOP UP to change from Synthium to Total. They will give the Synthium back to owner if he chooses to use Total. That why they ask for RM393 for the oil. Unreasonable...Why cannot top up?

I did not notice any improvement so far. So got to take time to observe the Lion.

improvement ? you mean FC? it will come, gives it a few days

You are right bro. 408 has this indication. Indicates brake fluid level low or worn brake pads.
*
QUOTE(EP6CDTM @ Oct 3 2013, 10:25 AM)
french has included the features back in the 90s, you can see wires on top of the brake fluid cover and brake calipers. it is just a simple "sensor". when fluid level is low, the wires will touch and gives signal to the ECU to display the error  rclxms.gif

Wah u so lucky ley i just change my battery but then told me to use global. They told me that if use delko battery then went the time come to change battery will take longer time becoz of the warranty now very strict.
*
Global battery brand? I expect my Delkor to live up to one year and +, which is considered normal, by then no warranty claim can be made on battery already

Guys, anyone received calls to ask you about your satisfaction about Peugeot Service Center? It's a phone survey which I believe peugeot did to understand customer satisfaction.. through that survey only I realized many things the service advisor didn't really do whether it is before or after the service.  Hopefully things will improve

QUOTE(cwkhang @ Oct 6 2013, 09:13 AM)

Pug battery problem seems to come from a particular brand(only need to replace) whereas Focus problem is more of the electrical system (harder to solve?)

May be it is Ford Sync that has sucked out all the juices. There has bee tonnes of complaint on that system. May be they should just name it ford Stink or Ford sink instead

Actually I was very keen on the turbo diesel and followed the introduction closely. Lost interest when only NAs hit our shores. Didn't bother to test drive. Understand it's got pretty good handling. Any idea how the handling compares with our turbo.
*
Focus? the car handling is good for a NA. But i don't like their Electric Motor Driven Power Steering (EPAS) system, 408 T's electro-hydraulic steering feels much more meaty and confident at high speeds. Heck even 408 NA pure hydraulic steering is more my cup of tea, i don't know why i just like thing a bit old fashioned i guess

I think in short Ford handling is overrated

Imagine a PSA that Peugeot family no longer control

Dongfeng, French gov't to take stakes in PSA, report says
October 12, 2013 6:00 AM

PARIS (Reuters) -- PSA/Peugeot-Citroen is preparing a 3 billion euro ($4.1 billion) capital increase in which Chinese partner Dongfeng and the French government would take matching stakes in the carmaker, people with knowledge of the matter said.

A French delegation of executives, government officials and bankers is heading to China for talks to prepare an outline for a deal that could be signed within weeks, three sources said on Friday. They asked not to be identified because the negotiations are confidential.

Under the draft agreement, which PSA hopes to conclude this year, state-owned Dongfeng Motor and the French government would each contribute 1.5 billion euros and acquire 20 to 30 percent of the carmaker, the people said.

The Peugeot family would lose control of the company because the cash injection would dilute its 25.4 percent stake and 38.1 percent in voting rights.

The capital increase would be accompanied by an expansion of DPCA, the PSA-Dongfeng joint venture in China, adding more PSA vehicles and technology to target other markets in the region, the sources said.

Part of the new capital would be raised through a rights issue in which the Peugeot family would sell new stock to the French government, the sources said. The remainder would be raised in a reserved capital increase.

GM stake

The 3 billion euro cash injection would amount to 68 percent of the French carmaker's 4.39 billion euro market value. It would be worth about 40 percent of the new share capital and also dilute the 7 percent stake held by General Motors Co.

PSA, which is among the worst casualties of a six-year European car sales slump, is seeking more cooperation with Dongfeng or another automaker as it struggles to cut costs and losses that have threatened its survival.

"Peugeot confirms it is studying new industrial and commercial projects with different partners, as well as the financing to accompany them," a company spokesman said, declining to elaborate. "None of these plans have yet reached an advanced stage."

The French finance ministry declined to comment. Dongfeng officials were not immediately available out of office hours.

PSA is slashing jobs and plant capacity. The French automaker entered an alliance with GM last year and sold a stake to GM in a 1 billion euro capital increase.

The Peugeot family indicated it was ready to give up control as the company carried out initial soundings on a Dongfeng tie-up, while attempting to revive talks on a deeper alliance with GM.

The future of that pairing could be affected by Dongfeng's level of influence over PSA in any expanded partnership, GM Vice-Chairman Steve Girsky told Reuters last month.

Earlier this week, China Business News reported that Dongfeng might pay 1.2 billion euros for a 30 percent PSA stake.

PSA CEO Philippe Varin said in July that PSA was on track to beat its 2013 goal of halving its industrial cash burn to 1.5 billion.
