i see that point of view too, even thought i always tempted to get 525(e39/60) or 325/320d(e90). Test drove 208 yesterday, the GB jerky is there whenever i stopped at the traffic light, didn't notice it when i tried 408t two months ago. And to sum it up, the difference of 408 2.0 vs 208 1.6 is not that far.

by the way, eurofrance Jb offering pre-reg 408 T of 12k discount 2012 model, rm125888-rm12k. and pre-reg 408 2.0 2012 discount rm6/8 forgotten. then 307t also discount rm10 pre-reg 2012.

2013 model, rm8k for 408t and rm6k for 508 std. and i also noticed a lot of discount in the market even for T/H brands. The automotive industry is getting hotter which is a good sign for us

p/s:by looking at the 408 2.0 price, it is not advisable to get 407 used at rm8xk right?

i am crazy for so many type of cars.... rclxub.gif

Hehehe..........I see your delima. I didn't realize 208 gb is jerky. It is a sexy looking hot hatch that'll turn heads!

I was seriously looking at 320d. Maintenance on 5-6 year old Beamer will be high. Will miss the torque!

407 has a timeless design. That is one shape that will never get dated. IMO that is a good car to buy now cos 408NA has practically killed 407s second hand value. Used car dealers are holding on to price, but they not getting a bite. I even checked out a lovely red 2011 model, priced $99K. Who is going to pay that price when for 10K more you can get a brand new 408NA with updated engine, new gb and 5year warranty. Although 407 is D segment,408NA is certainly a better buy for 10K more. It's difficult to price 2011/2012 407s. I would only pay 65K for a 2010 407.

I feel Eurofrance discount offer of 12K is fantastic. I'd go for that.

Wow what a major f##kup. Frankly I wouldn't mind the motorbike deal by the manager. You can do the number exchange your self later,it's not difficult. You'll have a free bike which comes in handy, just to run to the shop or some small errands. biggrin.gif

Enjoyed my lion from Ipoh to KL. Overall it is nice.

Just few things are let down
1) some rattling sound from left & right door.
2) A/C not so cold
3) alignment toward left
*
1) This rattle appears to be very common. There must be something a little off at the manufacturing plant. I've complaint twice, but still have it.
2) A good tint helps.
3) All Pugs seem to have this slight left pull. I don't think Peugeot Blue Box are setup for alignment jobs. I will be trying one of those alignment specialist soon.

I understand bro, I am not sure about the rest but for me, I don't like to buy something which I don't like to begin with which include those things attached to it as well. Also, how can they proceed with the registration to a random numbers without asking for my permission? This is not right.
*
Yes of course. Hope they can sort out the mess. Best of luck. smile.gif

Those who bought early suffered at least 11k of loss. Lesson of the day, don't be enticed to buy a newly launched car. Unless you don't mind the monetary loss within the next 12months.... Should have waited until now or 2013 year end....I can foresee 8k over trade and 5 years free service then.
*
That is so very true. 11k is almost 9months installment that I blown away. The other important factor is lower loan translates to lower monthly installments. So actual discount ends up more than 11k!

My case I needed a car badly last year, just could not wait a year.

hi, i just owned my 408, do u guy has the same problem, rattling sound from behind left door, some jijijijijiji sound come out when the road is bumpy.
*
A lot of us have this defect. Mine is very faint only audible when above 100kmh. I've complained twice, but still have it.When the technician take it for a test,he can't hear it cos he's not driving the car at 100kmh. I believe it is a issue at the assembly plant.

Thanks for the input man~ icon_rolleyes.gif
So far driving experience is good! Enjoy driving very much especially on Highway.
Can feel you are speeding and suddenly saw it reached 150km/hr.
By the way, i can manage to have fc 8litre/100km on highway but city drive is mostly 12 litre/100km
*
I think your FC is normal. I usually do 130kmh urban drive,FC 9L/100km. City drive,FC 12L/100km. Best urban FC was 8.5L/100km,but have to drive uncle style. With turbo, can't do that la. biggrin.gif

Actually the turbo is supposed to be better FC. In reality it all depends on driving styles. There are ppl who have achieved remarkable FC with turbo. As for me I don't bother about FC,rather enjoy the low end torque! tongue.gif

Thanks bro for sharing the breakdown of the service table with us. Any idea we can buy the gear box oil from outside and provide to the SC during the 60K interval?
*
While under warranty have to use SC fluids. GB oil is expensive cos from Japan shipped to France and finally to Malaysia. I don't think the oil is available outside. If Nassim can get this oil direct from Japan, will be a lot cheaper for us customers. Maybe we should collectively petition to Nassim.
