Thanks everyone for your feedback. I'm still addicted to the drive. Nothing has beaten it so far.

But the aircond I must say is a real deal breaker. The missus already complained kau kau. Cant believe that I spend all my time researching and finally found a car I love, only to be let down by the air-conditioning! Worse part is, it's not one of the things I can easily replace like the sound system.  cry.gif

You are most welcome bro. The power is addictive. There are more powerful cars, but nothing to match at this price. The handling is at another level, simply superb! Push her on twisty roads, just sticks like a leach. Handling is better than more expensive Contis like Beamer and VW - E90,E60,Passat & Jetta.

As for air-con,all our bros have said it's cold after a good tint.

I am using Sahara-x, park under hot sun for few hours but won't feel hot when sit on the leather. My air-cond is cold enough with this tinting. Whole car tinting cost 1600.00. If top up another 300 can get the highest grade which the tinting shop owner said u don't feel the heat at all.
*
Ya this is true. I'm on Autograd, from Japan - tint, security + UV protection,10year warranty. Quoted price $2400,SA gave me his discount, final price $2000. The cabin cooled quite fast even after parked under hot mid day sun.

no chance to test drive on twisty corners...but is both the 2.0 and Turbo handling almost the same?
*
2L NA handling is also good but not the same as the Turbo. Turbo has a sports tuned suspension and the NA is setup for comfort. Some prefer the NA suspension setup which is softer and therefore absorbs road irregularities better. The turbo setup tends to be a little harsh when it comes to potholes. I am planning to change to high profile tyres later to reduce the harshness!

My colleague bring his 408T at 230 km/h to Ipoh with 5 persons in the car. He said his father lancer cannot compare. Then his friend test drive it and said his Mazda 3 cannot compare as well with that speed and smoothness.
*
Lancer,Mazda 3 even the latest Mazda 6 can only smell smoke of out Pug la. At 200kmh our Pug is effortless, those engines will be screaming at that speed. Need Mazda 6, 2.4L to keep up with us.

really on par with e90 e60? jetta yes but not bmw,at least i dont think so.
*
Not on par, better! I know it is hard to believe the 408t handling is better than E90 and E60 cos these are Beamers, a premium brand. Handling depends alot on suspension setup and chassis. There's a line between good handling or comfort. Going either way is a compromise on the other.

BMW have done a very well balanced suspension setup. They have struck right in the middle,ie good handling as well as comfort. This does not mean handling is the best,it is a balance between handling and comfort.

Newer Pugs have gone more towards improved handling. This is the reason why the 308t,408t and the 508s are a little harsh over potholes. When handling level is raised,it will be at the expense of comfort.

I've owned E46, E90 and tested ones mentioned.

Wow ! Right choice for me for the 408T

Why our Lion got so much brake dust come out ? it is harmful to health ?
Yes a good tint is important for this Lion, after that , 20 C feel very comfort even on day time, I go for Rikecool.

after 3200 KM, my fuel consumption is 11.4 L / 100km, the engine feel still tight, may be after 10K service will be batter.

The rain drop sound is very loud on the roof, the insulation need to improve on this area........
*
Brake dust is due to poor local quality brake pads. It's not harmful to your hands when you wash your car.
FC may improve after 10k service, but it really depends on your right foot. No point getting a Turbo and driving uncle style. Enjoy your Lion, but ofcourse be safe!
I'm not sure about rain noise,if it bothers you,I suppose insulation may be the answer.

Turbo > NA engine lo

That true. Our 1.6L turbo produces torque equivalent to torque by 2.4NA. Still got ppl don't realize this. One of my Mat Saleh friend just booked the Madza6 2L. When I asked him why he didn't get the 508,he said, 'oh that's just a 1.6L engine'.

What a crap compared to all the bells and whistles, not to mention power, of the 508!

408T uses 302mm rotors
408 2.0L uses 283mm rotors

Both brake pads and rotors are not cross compatible.

anyway, PSA uses 243mm, 266mm, 283mm and 302mm rotor on common models.

GTis has even bigger disc brakes.
*
Hey tks,any idea what brand are the brake pads?

thanks for your clarification towards my noob. because i tested the e90 for town driving under the speed of 60km/h, hence i asked you on this. So 408t is better on stability. How about 208, have you tried it out?
*
I suppose town drive is a bit difficult to gauge a cars potential. Since I had owned a E90 previously,I know the car well. I have pushed both cars,E90 and 408T on twisty roads. 408t is definitely much better on handling and power. My E90 was 320NA.

I've not tested the 208,but some our bros have. They think it's a great little rocker! biggrin.gif

if you're talking about the pair that comes with the car, it has Peugeot and Citroen emblem on it. PSA uses valeo and Bosch as their OEM, so I guess it all depends on luck which batch is installed in your car.

Need to check with you guys when ever your speed above 200km/h, what is the rpm reading? Previously i test my car at 200km/h and pedal already hit the floor but my rpm only at 4.5K. i'm not satisfied with it because the rpm should almost at 6K when pedal on floor. erm... i want to test my max speed when rpm at max and pedal at max also... mad.gif

Should i change to S mode in order to reach max?
*
In the auto mode the gears will shift at optimum speeds,so 4.5k rpm is normal at 200kmh as gb has shifted to 6th gear. To get up to 6k rpm, select gear to manual operation. M with engaged gear appears on message screen. Gb will now operate to max rpm at each gear before changing. M with engaged gear number will flash a few seconds when reached max rpm before changing.

so how is the the NVH between 408t and e90? what is the reason you want to dispose e90? i luv e90 320d so much, too bad even used one at 150k is not within my budget
*
On NVH e90 is better, especially harshness. E90 rides potholes and road irregularities very well. I've already sold mine. It was a 2L NA. 320d is superb car,I love that car. That was my first choice, but could only afford a used one.

You are right 6 - 7 year old 320d cost around 150K. Maintenance on the car of that age will be high. For the next 5year ownership you'll spend about 50K. So at the end of 5years you'd have spent 200K ( not taking into account interest on loan).

In the case of 408t,after 5 years it is only 126K since warranty will cover replacement parts. That is the main reason I sold off my e90. Of course power and handling on the 408t is better! So the 408t is a more fun car to drive than my e90 with lower cost of maintenance!

Congrats on your new ride bro, have fun with the lion! Damn, everyone got their lion already, can't wait for mine, will be getting it tomorrow according to my SA. *finger crossed*
*
Hehehe.........I know the exact feeling. I was like almost the 1st to book this car. The timing was perfect for me. I was in the market for a car last year. Just about that time, 408t with the right price and great spec was announced. I booked this car the day the doors opened at Naza in PJ. However 4 bros here got their cars before me. To make it worst,SA told me my car waiting in the showroom. Man....was I going crazy, anxiety to the max! Finally got my car 6days later.

Reason: Waiting on paperwork to be finalized on my successful tender on number... cry.gif

Guys, do you guys pump in 2.5bar to each tyre or lower? Maybe 2.3bar for majority of time single occupant use.
And how often you guys send for balancing, alignment and tyre re-arranging? 5K. 10K, 15K?
*
I do 2.5bar, double occupancy most of the time. Balancing, alignment and rotation every 10K at a tyre shop. 2.3bar may reduce the bounce, give it a try.

RM250? that is a great price, IMHO, for number 408. I don't know, Always have the impression that it will be at least fought over by some 408 owners to be. I can be wrong though.
*
When I tendered for my number,408 was available. It doesn't seem to be that sort after, perhaps only by Pug owners. Again not all, me a Pug owner went for PKR----,paid 1K.
