Usually people are patriotic,buy one brand and stick to it when upgrade. I know not all,but a large number do. For my dad,it was Volvo,from 121/122s/144/244.
It is very interesting to note,for a person who is not into cars,some of the driving dynamics of the 508 made an important impression to you. Important enough for you to consider this brand. Kudos to Peugeot!

I am not patriotic either,but will still consider Peugeot or Citroen cos they are innovative. However this is subject to service and maintenance being able to keep up with innovations!

What you doing is right. Buy a turbo means enjoy it,not bother about FC. The woo woo sound is actually your engine ,nothing to worry about.

When you slow down quickly by braking,the gears step down. As the gears change to lower gears the engine revs up.The sound is the engine reeving up!

Elantra is a pretty car and the 1.8L does match 2L power. However the engine is not as refined as the engine on the 408NA. Elantra's engines strain a loud roar upon hard acceleration. Elantra does not match 408NA handling. This is where the Pug is a class above .

There is no permanent solution for the premature carbon buildup. However there is preventive maintenance. Join 308T club at FB. Turbo charger unit is known to crack. Unfortunately no prevention,only an expensive unit to change! Anyway it's not as if every 308t has this problem.

6spd 308t comes with a remapped ECU. This has solved alot of the problems on the 4spd models.

If GTI gets to Malaysia,that will tapau our 408t la, 200hp/275nm. That will have the same Prince as the RCZ

Initially was so disappointed the GT was introduced a month after I got my 408t. Now seeing how reliable the 408t is, have settled with it. Besides I'm not sure if local expertise are sufficient to handle high-tech innovations on the 508GT.

From your posting I understand you do not know the Prince engine on the 408t is different from all other Pugs. The Prince is EP6CDTM and carries 8 mods addressing reliability issues. The engine has been given a serious make over and is proving to be reliable compared with it's older brothers.

Whilst premature carbon buildup has been reported on all DIs, contis & japs ,as low as 25K km, this Prince has been bench tested to 60K km without any carbon buildup.

NAZA has made Pugs affordable to Malaysian. To ensure Pugs continue to grow in Malaysia it is important to provide proper customer service & support. In the past this has been rather lacking. Serious efforts are made to improve with setup of Peugeot Blue Box SC nation wide. I'm sure there's room for further improvements. Good to know efforts are being made in the right direction.

There's a continues system check going on all the time which is fed back to ECU.

Should the oil level drop low, a OIL light flashes on the small display screen in between the instrument cluster,audio signal is triggered and a OIL LEVEL LOW message displayed on the MFD. This can come on anytime as long as the ignition is on.

A random system check from the cockpit can be done anytime with the engine running. Momentarily press the check button below the speedo meter. CHECK OK comes on after the test if no faults.

Final and most conclusive oil check is the manual visual dipstick.
