I noticed after using Caltext Havoline semi, the engine heat up faster during cold start at morning.
Let me recall, previously using Liqui Moly. Morning cold start, RPM will exceed 1k rpm, then it will drop to less than 1k rpm when the enginer temperature reaching 90celcius. it took about 3-4 mins or 4-5mins to reach 90 celcius. but with Havoline, it took shorter time to reach 90celcius. I never try any other PE, I can't notice the quietness of engine regardless engine oil(petronas/shell/liqui/havoline), because it always noisy hahaha edit : sorry, it isn't 90celcious... it is the bar between 50 and 90. QUOTE(iskazulka @ Feb 6 2013, 02:17 PM) Ini trolling ni........an answer which is no answer at all...While there are some tires out there ppl never tested......the famed ones here for stock size is either the more expensive entry level Michelin XM2 or my preference, the mid-range Yokohama C-Drive 2. Both has their pro and cons. If you like grip more, then C-Drive 2, cheaper somemore but if you like less noise more rounded but less grip, then XM2. Of course there are cheaper tyres outside but not reviewed here... This post has been edited by Cavino: Feb 6 2013, 02:57 PM |

If you're particular abt vibration, noise, you will notice the very obvious difference when the engine is idle. If you have ice switch loud.....then of course lar no difference but engine vibration does have a long term negative effect on the engine especially the mounting.Let me recall, previously using Liqui Moly. Just recently joined in the bulk order for air scoops and trestor brakepads with the boys from the Gen2 forum.
http://www.trestor.com.my/products02.asp Tresto is the same company as Prima and Bendix and same factory also. just a parallel brand.(which is way cheaper) These are my findings on the brakepads so far. observations 1)Not too sure whether there's a Braking In period for the brakes cause if its anywhere like the new Bendix City Stealth, tak perlu. 2)Difference in braking power is immediately felt. spongy feeling from brakes reduced greatly. thinks theres still a bit of give due to the fact that i'm using stock brake hoses. 3)Driving when dry, brakes work fine and efficient. no noise stops immediately. Driving when wet still brakes fine, quiet. However, in my opinion, the brakepads heat up and cool down rather quick. When cold, need more pressure to be applied. When hot, highly responsive and effective. but when i say too quickly, if cruising and u need to stop and brake gradually the brakes get heated up and u will stop nicely. but when moving off and after cruising again for a fair distance, u need to gradually brake again to get them heated again. if brake immediately there is this sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiight lapse for the brakepads to heat up again and immediately grip. So its a very versatile brakepad that can be used for daily driving or untuk buang tebiat. so as long as u drive casually when it rains and practice cadence braking (for us non-abs ppl) the brakes would work fine and get heated up nicely. but also expect them to cool quickly too! maybe i'm being overly sensitive but these brakes so far are awesome and confidence gaining. I'll give it another few hundred kilometres before these brakes would be 100% efficient and the temperature would not really be such an issue. Thanx. PS. the brakepad still got stock, go pm shazmn if interested This post has been edited by WanTheBear: Feb 6 2013, 06:49 PM |

If you wanna use Caltex Havoline, I remember Ziggy service before at a SC in PJ that use Caltex. Summoning Ziggy! |
