I'm waiting for it biggrin.gif. Took out the fifth cable that was installed underneath the left headlamp. Then put it back cause I couldn't find where exactly is the rear body location erictioh's referring to since there are like three holes.
*
should be the one exactly below the box. mine is a bit hidden by wires.

Ok, weird question here, how do i set the time on my persona?
*
hold the left button on the dashboard until the clock start blinking. the left button can then be used to adjust the hour and the right button to adjust the minute.
after the time is correct, just ignore it.

Never miss service. I just use D, can get better time if I manually shift it. Also I have fully loaded CNG tank.

The stock and regular FS run has a bit of wheel spin, pedal work not smooth enough during launch. But you can see the whp reading is totally normal.
*
I pun use D wor. how heavy is ur tank if fully loaded?

see mine when fully stock before I went for modding.

Knowing how significant improvement ignition system upgrade can give, I just went to Speedworks and replaced spark plugs to Denso Iridium IT20.

Their price is hefty, RM220 with installation but I manage to peek at their turbocharging workshop. Learned something new, so that I'm more prepared for my turbocharging project.
*
Rm220? u should buy at other place lah.
I think better solve ur gearbox problem first.(although not sure whether there is problem) our gearbox can't tahan too much of boost also.
If I can afford the money to TC, I think I will change preve instead.

I accept the premium price as a fee to pay for knowledge transfer tongue.gif

Their turbocharging kit is not bad too. RM8k includes Garrett GT2052, intercooler, SS piggyback, 4 injectors, hot bits exhaust system. Guaranteed minimum 50% hp increase. I tried to negotiate stage by stage installation, they wouldn't do it. I don't have 8K cash to dispose at the moment.

Also the drawback is, interface cable and software for piggyback system is not provided. Engineers like me would prefer to tinkle on my own.
*
lol. Is ok, you are paying XD
I think I will go for NA, for me, if currently I am having 80 whp, I think if I can get the official figure of 110 is very sufficient for me edi.
hahaha, well, I do regret not going to study automotive engineering somehow. but then, their fees is too high also.
TC is good lah, but u will need a piggback system. how much is your car mileage?
u should do it only after warranty if u ask me.

80whp to 110whp requires some effort on NA. At least yours is a manual, my lousy AT with only 70% power transfer efficiency, wait long long for NA mods to reach 110whp. Hence I'm actually quite impressed with firestorm, the regular firestorm is very value for money, super sized ones pushes it over the border.

Mileage is now 14800KM.

Changing to iridium is noticeable for me. Revs are very smooth all the way up. When there's chance, I'll get another 0-100kph reading from my car with Iridium spark plugs.
*
nope. mine is auto. same as you. well, it is just a matter of target. 110whp is very very sufficient for me. if can I don't mind increasing all my torque without increasing my hp. let's say I am now at 70hp, i might need to do some mods to get to 90hp. just like what hammie did, his persona is 108hp IINM. stock is 90hp for manual. so i suppose his gain is around 18hp. I personally think that the correct way of tuning and modding will give the correct power/torque increase. not like any modding products in the market also throw in. For example, during last nite TT the so called mini turbo which is a waste of money proven. So, do consider before buying from the mini turbo product from "aisketul".

speaking about iridium, yesterday, SiuYi mentioned about the usage of platinum and iridium plug compatibality with NGV. u better clarify with him as detonation will cause your engine to blow one day.

QUOTE(Manlet @ Jan 26 2013, 05:26 PM)
but can the campro engine internal stand the turbo for long distance driving? lata drive from johor to penang thn on the way explode
*
unless you are full throttling at the highway, somehow is ok. cruising on highway somehow have less damage than driving in city IMO. Due to wacking from standstill to high speed all the time, the engine become even hotter, while cruising on highway u have constant amount of wind cooling the engine also. if worry about long term, it is best to upgrade everthing to forged one. as proton did in their CFE.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jan 26 2013, 05:29 PM)
Speedworks said Campro can withstand up to 0.7 bar boost on stock internals even if whacked all the way from KL to Penang. If long distance reliability is not a concern, the internals can take 0.8-0.9 bar of boost.
*
if u don't intend to use the car for long, high boosting also no problem. but then, camproturbo.com actually have been TC for many years edi. he actually teaches how to drive properly to ensure your car to be undamaged.

Hi Mengsuan,

Thanks for your reply. But one of the staff at R3 division told me it is much lighter than the stock. Although he can't give me black and white stats SIGH.
Any recommendations on shop(s) selling Original / Branded lightweight rims ? I heard from friends' experience that Taiwan replicas are a gamble.

I was looking at the below shop: Not sure on their supply though.  Thanks again for your feedback !
TEK MING AUTO SERVICE SDN BHD
No.1 & 3 Jalan PJS11/24,
Bandar Sunway Industrial Park,
46150 Subang Jaya,
Selangor Darul Ehsan.

LOCATION (GPS CODE: 3.067236,101.602369)
*
exact weight cannot be sure. but then, R3 rims the 16'' one is almost the same as the stock rims.
if wanna go for weight reduction, go for ultra light weight series. buying replicas is a gamble, but buying made in taiwan itself rims are not.

try here.

lol~~boot tray seems redundant for me XD
race chip is as follow quote. but then it is for forced induction car only.

Lol, the investment is hefty weh. Indeed the torque is good but actually the regular one is already very value for money.
*
buy lah. the investment is not consider hefty due to the fact that it can last for so long that even u change ur car u can put it into the new car. I personally think this make my money worth. As said, investment is long term.

Got TT?
Doesnt make sense to me.. How is it possible for u to take 14secs for 0-100kmh? Mine without ETC also can do it around 10secs. With gadgets and mods i make it slightly above 9secs.. 14secs sounds like half throttling all the way only..
110whp is difficult to be justified. For example, how can a Vios with lower engine output outpace a Persona? Its due to car weight and also gear ratio difference.. The mapping in a Vios makes it hold onto a gear more compared to Persona, where it will kick down a gear very eagerly.. So i would prefer a more efficient engine mapping compared to a more powerful engine, as im able to harness more output from it compared to wasting too much money to bump up the stock engine power to a high level instead..
*
9secs? mine pun cannot. I understand, what I actually mean is that if my car power now is at 70hp, I believed if I had 110hp, I will be satisfied edi.
is true about the power to weight ratioand also gear ratio. somehow thats the good thing about vios also with its reliable gearbox.
well engine mapping can be done, but then gearbox, I not very sure, coz we all know we get only 70% of the power thru this gearbox.
speaking of which, I think the DEO1000 is the same function as the potent booster.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Jan 27 2013, 01:08 PM)
Guys, when you WOT, does ECU read 100% throttle? Mine is 88% max
*
if that is your throttle during WOT then ur 14 sec can be justified.
