QUOTE(powerstar @ Feb 5 2013, 08:56 PM) cant take the photo coz i cant craw in. u need 2 cans of spray painterm...the scar is about 1cm wide and 3cm long. my dad say just spay some white paint on it should be ok. but i think it wont last long so i thinking of find a better alternative. my car only 1 year old now, and it will be my ride for at least 10 year. 1) anti-rust primer (comes in brown color and in a can) spray a few coats of this. Let sit. 2) Spray paint, color of your choosing. once the primer has set, spray a couple of coats of this to ur satisfaction. this will last for a long long time. provided u use the primer. time to grow some muscles and jack ur car son! Just recently joined in the bulk order for air scoops and trestor brakepads with the boys from the Gen2 forum.
http://www.trestor.com.my/products02.asp Tresto is the same company as Prima and Bendix and same factory also. just a parallel brand.(which is way cheaper) These are my findings on the brakepads so far. observations 1)Not too sure whether there's a Braking In period for the brakes cause if its anywhere like the new Bendix City Stealth, tak perlu. 2)Difference in braking power is immediately felt. spongy feeling from brakes reduced greatly. thinks theres still a bit of give due to the fact that i'm using stock brake hoses. 3)Driving when dry, brakes work fine and efficient. no noise stops immediately. Driving when wet still brakes fine, quiet. However, in my opinion, the brakepads heat up and cool down rather quick. When cold, need more pressure to be applied. When hot, highly responsive and effective. but when i say too quickly, if cruising and u need to stop and brake gradually the brakes get heated up and u will stop nicely. but when moving off and after cruising again for a fair distance, u need to gradually brake again to get them heated again. if brake immediately there is this sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiight lapse for the brakepads to heat up again and immediately grip. So its a very versatile brakepad that can be used for daily driving or untuk buang tebiat. so as long as u drive casually when it rains and practice cadence braking (for us non-abs ppl) the brakes would work fine and get heated up nicely. but also expect them to cool quickly too! maybe i'm being overly sensitive but these brakes so far are awesome and confidence gaining. I'll give it another few hundred kilometres before these brakes would be 100% efficient and the temperature would not really be such an issue. Thanx. PS. the brakepad still got stock, go pm shazmn if interested This post has been edited by WanTheBear: Feb 6 2013, 06:49 PM |

QUOTE(silveraden @ Feb 18 2013, 07:17 PM) btw, i wanna ask for the famous brake noise on Persona. thinking to change it soon as it starting to give noise. should i go to Proton SC or outside workshop? what brand is good for brake pad? hello, welcome.currently testing and using Trestor Metallic Plus brakepads...so far so good no sounds no drama. more than adequate stopping power for stock persona/gen2. cant really tell about the dust as the weather has been rather shitty. skip over to the gen2 forum to order. they got bulk got size for persona also. mine was 150 for a set of 4. for front and rear discs. have so far bedded for about 900km. been driving in the city and highway. heats up evenly brakes evenly also. good luck. |

QUOTE(NINJIAO @ Feb 19 2013, 10:20 AM) Anyone installed UR 3 point fender bar? Ppl put in 3 point tower bar in front no need for fender bars already... want to ask if they need to drill holes or welding kah. Have installed 2 point front strut and very nice feeling. cause the fender bars workmanship can cost close to cost of the bar itself QUOTE(ckdenion @ Feb 19 2013, 09:49 AM) test already...lupa nak cakap ok the scoop i tested for a week in my openport campro gen2 and a week in a fully stock waja campro. dunno if placebo but is gooding yo... for my gen2 the fc was not really affected but it did cut down my lag a lot on hot days. but in the waja the change was drastic, the revving is a little louder because of the size. pickup is improved nominally. i wouldnt say any change in hp. just efficiency in combustion hence, pickup and fc improved significantly. bare in mind that this is a fully stock waja campro. |

QUOTE(ZaiZai1989 @ Feb 19 2013, 06:39 PM) thx for the feedback bro... at least now i noe it helps in persona.. hehe apa mahu drop in...K&N open port! currently using 6inch cone paired with simota oils... been reading a lot of user reporting better pick up and acceleration from these two.. yea lo.. the K&N really much more expensive... dunno whether the price worth for the doubled price or not.. huhu.. wondering what is the effect of firestorm+drop in filter.. haha |

QUOTE(NINJIAO @ Feb 20 2013, 11:27 AM) i should have taken the 3 point then. But the 2 point also enough liao..... currently. but comparing with putting stiffer spring, i would choose this bar/braces anytime becos it still maintain the original car characteristic. only tuning it a bit for more pleasant cornering (although slightly harsher, just like you over inflate a tire). I went up cameron highland after install, man it was great. corner was more solid and steering was easy. Thats why i wanted to install the fender bar as well becos a lot good review on fender bar. like far better than tower bar. you got install fender bar yet? how was it? after fender bar, i will go for the thicker 19mm ARB and last, the side floor bar. other bar i dont think imma gonna install. |
