Frequent disconnection is often is an individual issue, call up 100 and make a report.

Hey guys, streamyx user with 70kbps download speed here. -.- (I know, its sad.)
I'm considering to upgrade to 8mbps, since my block don't support unifi. (the block next door in the same area does, so again, sad. I know)

So how do I check if my area support streamyx 8mbps?
And 8mbps got access to china website?
Torrent download speed gt kena throttle?
If I don't upload stuff, is it better than unifi 5mbps/maxis fibre 10mpbs?

1. Call 100 or visit nearest TMPoint
2. Got
3. Sometimes, mostly all the time
4. Nope, Fibre > DSL

Okay, so, last checked, my area supposingly gt unifi, and streamyx 8mbps confirm got.
My monthly internet budget is around Rm160 there, so am I better off with unifi 5mbps or streamyx 8mbps if I:
1) Game a lot
2) Torrent a lot
3) Stream Videos a lot

Because so far the only 'losing' thing about streamyx 8mbps against unifi 5mbps that i know of is the upload speed. So if I'm not much of a video uploader, should I still go for unifi?
And I'm probably not going to upgrade my internet for another 3~4 years, so Unifi 10mpbs+ is beyond me unless suddenly price drop.

Go for Unifi smile.gif

3Mbit extra of download is not really useful, Unifi feel smoother, game definitely better.

Torrent should goes to Streamyx but 3Mbit is not a big gap smile.gif

IF your area already have Unifi, u cannot subscribe to 8mbps streamyx. 8mbps streamyx is only to those who live in non unifi area.

hi all,

I am new to 8Mbps + HyppTV. Please help to share with me. I just upgraded to this package, but haven't got the STB.
- Is the connection from set top box to modem/router is wired or wireless? I have this question because it's not convenient for me to put modem/router + STB near TV. It would be good if the STB just need normal WiFi connection, then I can put the STB anywhere inside the house.

- Can I use 2 STB for one single account? For example, 2 STB connects to 2 different TVs.

- Does the STB need any special router? Can I just use normal router (no need specific IPTV port)?
