Using 4mb now. Trying to get a 8mb but not supported. What a sadding.

Can you guys who managed to get 8mb share your location? At least we know which and which area is covered.

the techs didnt come and check, i just went to tmpoint and ask for it and got it the next day. previously i was on 4mbps, and my snr was 20+, attenuation 40. I don't get frequent disconnection though, but I sometimes realize my IP has been changed, and sometimes if downloading too long I noticed my line will get dropped although I still have IP address shown. this happens maybe about 10 times in the past few weeks.

I'd be content if I can get my SNR to above 15 tho.

Why your DL able to hit over 10000 ?
Mine only 8000 something.

But my maximum speed is only 7mbps during my speed test.

TM internal staff phoned me and ask would I want to upgrade my connection and even have all my info,then re-confirm some info today.

Waiting tomorrow see~   Hope will been activated.

Hope open the 10M port for me.

With regards to your query on DSLAM distance query, upon checking in the system for telephone number 04xxxxxxx, we found that your cable distance from our exchange is more than 1.51km whereas offerings of 8Mbps services is subject to distance limitation of maximum of 1.51km from exchange, port availability and also technical testing during installation. The TM technician/contractor  got a their tool call "optimus"..where there can check distance from your house to cabinet....

That make sense due to line cap to 8191kbps.
Given the theoretical case where everyone in Malaysia has no internet, and you are the only one connecting to Streamyx, the maximum speed you can achieve is 87.3% of 8191kbps. This is due to the ADSL overhead.[Source]

Talk to your installer again and see whether he can help you.

Otherwise, you will need to call 100, and complain to ask them to change the sync rate to at least 9400kbps for you to achieve 8Mbps speed at the very best effort that TM can give. That takes a lot of phone calls and probably longer waiting time. YMMV.
